Just bought this laptop as I think £679 is a great price for this. Saw it at John Lewis and looks and feels super premium and fast enough for casual usage.

I bought a TV from AO a few years ago. About 2 weeks before the warranty ran out they called ME asking if the TV was OK etc. I said the built in apps can be funky at times. They organised a collection of it for repair under warranty. All free. Apps work fine now and have done since. I'd say AO are great on that alone.

Great value laptop. These are a great balance of cost vs build quality vs performance.
Price matching AO ? But if its the same laptop AO are also offering £75 cashback

AO is good.
shame it uses a proprietary charger.
What I don't like about these newer laptop designs is the hinge design. It means the back of the screen will dig into your knees if in use for a long time. I prefer the classic design where the whole weight is distributed on the top of your thighs. (Still talking about the laptop BTW ;))

That is true but what I do like about these is that they don't get as warm as they have room to breathe.
Bought this for my LO specifically for his dyslexia. The SSD means it can handle knocks/bashing. The Nanoscreen edge is really good as a thick edge screen causes him problems so he now finds no distractions. Boots up fast and has face recognition which works. The mousepad/numberpad is a bit faddy but does work. A good size keyboard for 7-11 year old hands. Reasonably quiet cooling fan. Games that work on it that we have tried = Portal, Portal 2, Kabounce, Astroneer, Minecraft. Only game we found glitching and laggy was Scrap Mechanic (not sure why, not looked into RAM) - sorry, a limited list but gives an idea of the casual level of gamingthat will be possible. Not sure what the proprietary charger comment means so cannot contribute about that. Battery lasts a good while, even with games mentioned above. We paid £650 but still think this and AO (with cashback) are good. Will add heat.

Yes, that's one of the advantages of this design. If you are just bashing out an email on the train my issue won't exist. It's just something for the people who plan to use it on there lap for hours on end to consider.
How's the touchpad compared to macbooks? I wanna jump ship to a windows laptop

Elek Direct on Ebay. Ours was a manufacturer refurb and was spotless.
I have hated the Lenovo’s screens
Dim creamish tint whites
The two decent screens I found are the xps and surface, anyone knows if this is anywhere as good screens wise? Also battery please ? Realistically ?
