I know this deal was posted once a couple of weeks ago with Amazon France (red only), but the deal was expired with price gone up. Now you can get both Silver or Red colour sold by Amazon Italy for 299 Euro. I bought one last night and the total price at payment was 300.81 Euro including delivery (when you get to the final page, the price breakdown was 295 Euro plus delivery, so approx. £212.80 - use Halifax Clarity Credit Card to get a good exchange rate).

PS. Amazon France now has also reduced their price for this Zenfone 2 to 298 Euro if you're interested (red colour only, link here: amazon.fr/gp/…new?ie=UTF8&condition=new).

Details:
- Screen 5.5 "IPS Full HD 1920X1080, RAM: 4 GB
- Operating system: Android 5.0 with new Lollipop ZenUI
- Intel Atom Z3580 2x2 Quad-Core 2.3GHz
- 13 MP rear camera with f / 2.0 dual LED flash Real Tone / Technology pixelmaster. Front camera 5 MP
- Technology BoostMaster: charging 60% of the battery in 39 minutes
- Dual Active SIM

Anyone having this phone, can you share your experience pls, thanks?

And as stated on their eBay page it shipped from the UK.

Bought two mobiles from them, perfect service both times. However not had to use CS for issues.

Why would anyone buy this rather than LG G3? Serious question.

Hi I got mine off ebay from a dealer in the UK. It arrived in 2 days.

Does anyone know how does the dual sim works in terms of the data? Let's say sim 1 has a data plan and sim 2 doesn't. Can sim 2 uses the data from sim 1 (maybe as a wifi tethering option) or if sim 2 has no data plan means it has to use wifi only for data.

Thanks

Just be aware Asus has not released this phone in the UK yet - nor do they have a release date yet. So it's irrelevant if you see it on amazon.co.uk or a UK based seller on ebay - it will be an imported phone.

Nice specs but (and I can't believe I'm saying this), I'd expect octa-core at that price these days.

Lovely specs though otherwise.

Not a big fan of Intel Atom though, I find they tend to eat batteries more.

I rather doubt that the 4GB is really going to make much difference. Different architecture, and the 3GB G3 has no problems that I have seen. I can confirm that the QHD screen is gorgeous.

don't get the zenfones from third party sellers. your warranty will be invalid in the UK as they purchase them from China with local warranties for cheap. As someone who has to tell people to go back to the seller who then refuses to help them I wouldn't want any of you guys and girls having the hassle of having to phone up support and have to be told you have no warranty in the UK.

Why do we need a 4GB memory on a bloody phone? unless its a ****... I am not a apple fan boy and I use android but apple phones are excellent and lightning fast just on 1GB... Phone manufacturers just have to know how to use the tech rather than just putting the latest **** on the devices...

This is funny because if Apple had put 4Gb in their phone everyone would have said "4Gb!!! The one to beat! Hey now we ALL need 4Gb on our phone! It's the new minimum!", but because it's Asus who did it "who needs 4gb on a phone?" I did read what you said about not being a fanboy I'm speaking for what would happen with the iSheep if Apple had got there first - and it's an undeniable fact.
Just as now Asus have announced the Zenfone Max with a 5000mah battery - wait for people to be saying "is that just TOO ridiculous a battery life?" Apple do it and it's "innovation". Anyone else does it and it's "is it really necessary...?"
How doe-eyed Apple makes the very un-tech savvy.

On Android the more memory the better because more apps can run in the background & stay on the app back stack to allow for faster switching. Apps get killed when memory is low.
Note: iOS only have to run on a few phones/tablets thus it could be better optimised. iOS is not a true multi-tasking OS like Android, it prioritises UI to the detriment of other apps/background apps.

I would prefer Lenovo K3 Note for half of the price.

8 days? Damn the Chinese need to get their s**t together, their 4 year old kids used to work much faster with a bayonet between the shoulder blades LOL.

Seriously interested in this phone and knowing yours turned up is a plus.

Why would one sim want to use the data from another sim? You use the data on the phone so if either has data you will be able to use it.

Bought this from Amazon.it for €345 three months ago.

The screen was very poor. colours were off, contrast was terrible, everything was under saturated. compared to my g2, or Moto 4g it was awful. Comparing it to the S5 and G4 that I've had since, has only made it seem even more lacklustre. It really was that bad. Camera was truly awful, and reviews back that up. The camera on my galaxy tabpro 8.4 was superior. Multitasking was great, speed and fluidity were good, but the phone got unpleasantly hot when charging or under heavy load and the phone was laden with **** Asus apps that you couldn't uninstall.

Oh, and battery life was nothing to write home about. Equal to G4, inferior to S5 or G2.

In a market where you can get an S5 or G3 for similar monies, why would you? just why?

Not sure you know what you're talking about. A lot of the new and better/faster processors are going back to being quadcore. A lot of next years flagship phones will be quadcore. £230 to expensive for those?
