Description
ZenFone Zoom is the world’s thinnest 3x optical-zoom smartphone with an innovative 10-element HOYA lens arrangement for crisp detail — and up to 12x total magnification.

Creating the world’s thinnest 3x optical-zoom smartphone demands serious engineering — but ASUS is always in search of incredible. Now you no longer need to carry a traditional digital camera to see the world up close: with ZenFone Zoom’s 3x optical-zoom and rock-steady optical image stabilization (OIS), dual-LED Real Tone flash for perfect lighting and revolutionary 0.03 seconds laser auto-focus, you’ll shoot in total clarity every time.

ZenFone Zoom comes equipped with an incredible 3x optical-zoom by 28-84mm focal length. Greatly shorten the visible distance from where you stand to the object you wish to see. Capture clear images like never before and transcend the way you see the world.

ZenFone Zoom’s innovative 10-element lens was created by HOYA, the Japanese optics experts. Together, we created an aspheric, molded-glass lens system, finished using a technique we call the “D-cut”— a world first. This is paired with dual high-precision stepper motors and arranged in an innovative periscopic arrangement to maximize incoming light and capture best possible photo quality — and allow 3x optical-zoom for close-up clarity.

I'm also looking for a new phone and seriously miss their old 3 pricing.....
Looks interesting (FHD) though Intel processor and lollipop. Bit behind.
There was a popup saying you get £5.99 off for subscribing....
I've subscribed and they offer £10 off £450 not great
Doesn't have B20. Shame, looks a cracking phone!

It's had official Marshmallow for over a year.
28-84mm is a 35mm equivalent, so it's actually a very useful range. Actually 4-11.
No fingerprint reader. 😔
On paper this looks great! Anyone got one?
HK based company with very poor reviews...
which would be better this or Global Version Xiaomi Redmi Note 4GB 64GB (Band 20) 5.5" Snapdragon 625, 13MP camera, Fingerprint ID, Gold £137 @ AliExpress/XiaomiMCstore?
Strikes me as similar to the Galaxy S4 Zoom sell off. Bit of a niche product. A zoom camera strapped on the back of a smartphone has been tried before without much success, Never was going to sell many at full price but for £112 it packs an awful lot of tech.for the price. Tempted myself but cannot help think that after a few months it will start gathering dust at the back of a drawer.

Silly question - like asking which is better a motorbike or a small car - if you need quick acceleration the motorbike will win, but if you need to take 4 passengers, probably not!

What is your usage? The N4 will be below average for the camera.

While that is good to know, it also implies that it doesn't have Nougat & not having Nougat by now likely means it won't get it.

While true, they are quite quick to deliver (about 8 to 10 days, sent from Manchester) & use a UK credit card (must not be a partner card) for Section 75 protection & you should sidestep the warranty issues.
The camera and screen both get subpar reviews
Try code Chkout5 for £5 off
Still tempted, not sure if there anything with similar specs for the money. Just a pain the Barclays Mobile Banking app won't work. Finger up the proverbial!
