Seems like a premium device for the money.

I think this is the Zenpad S 8.0 Model, just called something different?

Enjoy impressive detail throughout all your online content with the Asus ZenPad Z380C 8" Tablet

- Flubit instant offer gives it you for £155, so waiting on a bigger offer now -

Better than HD

From streaming HD films to everyday browsing, all your online content will look its thanks to the better-than-HD screen. The 1536 x 2048 resolution is higher than many of the latest TVs, so you can experience film and photos with impressive detail and vivid colours.

The screen is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass, which is much stronger than normal glass, so is more resilient to the scratches and scrapes of everyday tablet computing.

Quick computing

The ZenPad is powered by a quad-core Intel® Atom™ processor that opens apps quickly, streams videos smoothly and lets you move between windows and tabs in seconds.

It has 2 GB of RAM, which lets you do more at once, so you can flip between tabs and different apps as and when you like.

Expandable memory

There's plenty of space to save apps and media straight from the box thanks to the 16 GB of internal storage, but if you need more, you can easily expand it using the microSD card slot.

ive actually spent the last day in and out looking at 8inch tablets as i find my windows10inch tablet a little bit big to lug around when i travel for work. i ve been eyeing up the lenovo yoga 2 which has some really good battery life. i will check out the reviews on this as i remeber these getting good reviews aswell.

edit just read a couple of reviews and there saying battery life is about 4hrs which is too poor for me.

I'm currently on my 2nd yoga 2, which I am in the process of returning. Don't get me wrong, it's a great tablet, but I had sleep/wakeup issues with the first and a dodgy button ton the second. Love the stand, but the plastic that it is made off is rather soft, and the screen very easily scratched.

Considering the Asus, as it looks pretty good.

reviews i saw that said 4hrs were for heavy gaming and the best ones were only getting 5 or so for the same
so lighter use = more life, same as for all
Is this a step up from my Nexus 7 2013?
£159 on amazon.
Does this have hdmi out?

Would want a better processor for the money.

The Nvidia Shield for £150 is better tablet and also cheaper
Would you really need HDMI out in this day and age?

thanks for the feedback, its was either the lenovo or the perhaps even a samsung tab e or maybe the a. i really only use it for e reading and a little bit of browsing but as much as much most things in life there really is so much choice that battery life is really important for me, the Nvidia Shield keeps coming up in best buys

I can't see the Shield being that much better. I saw the Zenpad in Currys today and it's lovely. It's square and was a perfect size.
I've updated this deal - cheaper at Amazon, then via Flubit.

I'll bite at under £150

What did you think of the screen? I've been told that it's not that bright?

Are you also looking for an 8" tab then?

Put the amazon link through Flubit - shouldn't be much longer now until they get back to me.
Saying that - Flubit just got back to me - £141.80 delivered!

No, it's just standard delivery I'm afraid. They use 'Fireworks Direct' as their merchant, who are basically Flubit themselves. Ordered loads of stuff from the Flubit site with no issues. Let me know what price you get.
Also, it doesn't look like this tablet will get Marshmallow?... This puts me off as I would have wanted flex storage and the ability to not be restricted on how many games I can install.

Yeah, I want something with a good build quality and great screen. Trying to avoid apple, just because of the restrictions. £141 sounds great.
Either this or the nexus.

I wanted the Nexus 9 but it's too expensive and it's pretty big.

I have a Nexus 7 2013 at the moment but need something a little bigger which is why I'm tempted to go for this.

The no Android 6 though is putting me off..
For anyone undecided, I didn't think the Zenpad was going to be much better than my Nexus 7 2013, but looking at this, the Zenpad blows it away!

OK. you got voucher to spend.

Samsung Tab S 8.4 is not much more expensive, there is a recent deal last week, it comes down to around £170 at Argos.

Spec wise, there isn't a huge difference between the Samsung and the Zenpad.
I just did another flubit this morning and it came back at £141.21 so I went for that.

How good are flubit on dispatch, does it take days?

yes, Flubit takes quite long to dispatch. You will expect on average one week to receive the item.

It says estimated delivery between now and wed on Flubit. I think as it's expensive, it will be sent by courier so could very well be in the next few days.
thanks both, put my linx 10 on ebay and it sold straight away so that's handy, hopefully i'll get it before Wednesday as I was looking to use it on my next business trip to Rotterdam.
