About this product
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is an interactive journey through 50 years of video games, and of course, more than 100 playable games.

Atari is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and with it the spark that launched the modern video game industry. It has been five decades since a small team in Silicon Valley combined their creativity, curiosity, and passion into making video games and hardware. The result of their efforts was Atari, one of the most recognisable and enduring entertainment and pop culture brands in the world.

At the heart of the 50th anniversary collection is a curated list of over 100 games that span seven different hardware platforms – a true feat of emulation by the team at Digital Eclipse. Behind every game are the stories of Atari, what was happening at the company, what went into the creation of the games and the hardware they ran on told by the people who were there. It is a rare opportunity to get a rich, behind the scenes look at the history of video games.

100+ classic games lovingly presented with best-in-class emulation and modern quality-of-life enhancements – and the ability to play classic games that have not been available for ages. Discover the brand that launched the modern video game industry and the creative individuals behind it through interviews, archival images, special source material and behind-the-scenes content within an interactive timeline.

More titles were added back in December so if you're going for a shufty of the game list, make sure to double check the date. (edited)

Great Price, but no Star Wars (1983)

or Super Sprint, Marble Madness or Paper Boy, or Super Man (1979), Indy Jones Temple of Doom, a long list eh. I can understand with some of the big franchise license stuff perhaps, but get Super Sprint and Paper Boy etc on there. To be honest with these compilations is always just numbers rather than quality. I would rather have 5 solid good games that were top quality and gave the collection more worth/desirability/value. Did I just go on a rant? (edited)

I would like to get this for Steam, but my budget says no more than a fiver.
    I will wait.

I have all the recharged games on Steam, and also the now delisted Atari Arcade.

I grew up on the Atari 2600.

I miss the original frogger on the old stereo CRT Tv, those where the days.

    Heat added

Crazy to think that Atari basically invented video games back in the 70s, but now they're just a small fish in a huge ocean.

I wish the original Battlezone had been included, just from a preservation perspective as well as game play, they should have waved the licensing fee
