atari are u a coffin dodger
I look at this and think might be a good idea to go for one of these. Used to love my Atari 2600, but then I remind myself how poor some of my PS1, or PS2 games look nowadays and thinking the Atari is best left in the fond memories category.

I youtubed pitfall as used to be hooked on that game, and sadly it confirmed my fears.
There are better NES versions on amazon, but the mods wouldn't let me post the deal... Not over 300 reviews of the seller.
Probably be better off buying a used PSP, hacking it, and filling it with all the 8bit and 16bit emulators and games you want.

True, it's cheap but personally I'd rather play the original arcade roms than the cut down Atari 2600 ports, and I speak as someone that used to own a 2600 back in the day. I don't think that this would have much lasting appeal but each to their own of course.

I was referring to the Nintendo version off amazon.

I quite agree through, I don't think I even got around to playing with the old atari emulator on the hacked Nintendo Wii I've got.... Nostalgia is one thing but Pong doesn't really compare to four player Gamecube Goldeneye!
Many games on the 2600 (Breakout, Kaboom, etc) got their magic due to the use of the paddle/analogue controller. I can't imagine trying to play those games with digital controls.
Or you could get a pocketgo for 25 quid and get every Atari, Sega mega drive, NES, SNES game etc
