No Amidar or Tutankham? Shaking my head.

Just tried to find one (using a couple of different stock checkers) , appears to be out of stock everywhere.

I'm sure that this has been cheaper in the past and there is a new version out soon. Haven't voted.

How dire! The kids will laugh and it will be in the cupboard by 17:00.

See some awful in game in action: Oh dear!

I used to love Pitfall! shame it's not on here might have been tempted

Yes theres a new version the flashback 7 and it has 1 more game added frogger deluxe edition is it really worth the extra for this game!

I loved super breakout & pitfall shame the second is not on this

I also feel the same. Mini nes might be a bit more expensive, but will atleast make it through to Easter

This may seem like a nice nostalgia trip but it really isn't. I got one from the Mrs earlier this year and it lasted 10 minutes before being boxed back up and stuck on a shelf. It might have been longer if Pitfall had been included but as others have pointed out, it isn't.

The games are even more dire than you remember and your kids will have no nostalgic attachment to them, meaning they will just suck. I have one for sale if anyone wants it!

Heat for the price but still not worth it!

mame

Why are there no games beginning with K ?

Dont see the point of these to be honest. For kids it's just novelty value for a short time and for us who remember these games you have to have ALL the best games to make it worthwhile not some half arsed collection.

Hasn't this Shargos offer been on for ages? I noticed it a week or two ago. Usual same old Shargos story though they are advertising and selling thin air with their offers. No stock for me within 60 miles at about 20 Shargos stores. Typical Shargos. Anyone actually found it in stock anywhere?

Why do I get the feeling you're trying to make 'Shargos' a thing?

It helps me deal with my 'Argos' frustrations is really annoying to see all these great HUKD deal posts but no stock. I am still baffled as to how this so called retailer gets away with it. It must be a right cushy number working in the fair trading or advertising standards office, what do these people actually do? Argos or Shargos as I tend to call them get away with so much.

PS join me Luke (or anyone) and call them Shargos, together we shall badmouth them across the galaxy.

Is this better? … Is this better? https://www.mymemory.co.uk/Gadgets/GBOX/GBOX-Retro-200-Video-Games-Console

Raspberry Pi and retropie is probably your best bet for retro games.

Sorry ND you can't have Shargos. It was the title of my last spoken world album. (didn't chart). (Cameron's britain)

I heart argos fwiw. Some decent deals this year on 3ds games especially.

I just posted the same then see your post its been on offer for ages and never been in stock in 100 stores i checked in and around london both last time and now its bull ****.

To anyone struggling with stock, try asking in or ringing the store (the former the better option).

The other day my store listed no Mega Drives being available online even though the internal store system did say they had loads of them.

Cold. No Mr Do...

Boo just use a emulator and if those joysticks are anything like the original they are torturous to use anyway.

mini nes beater.

I loved Amidar. Nobody ever even mentions it. Cept you!

I bought this before and was really disappointed.

Oos

Banned

Bought when it was down to £25 at Argos but my 6 years old hate it

We went to the Insomnia 59 gaming convention at NEC at the start of December and they had a huge section dedicated to old games. All set up so you could play them and a stand selling old game boys with games.

My kids loved the festival.

Hooray! Amidar was a top game.

These were quite an envious Xmas present 30+ years ago but even then the controllers were absolutely awful..
Not to mention the fire button being on the wrong side, compared to virtually every arcade game that was out at the time!

For a tenner it might make an amusing novelty but there's far superior emulation options out there these days.

I even noticed the other day that Facebook messenger has what appears to be perfect versions of space invaders and galaga for free now - only problem is playing with an LCD screen for the controls...

No River Raid, Frostbite or Megamania, Activision games were the best ones

No Fireman, Road Runner, Qbert or Pacman?

Was reduced to that price all the way back in October and it was at £35 for a while in November. Meh, cold.

Atari Circus included, but no paddle controllers. How pointless.
