I thought the offer was great because the contrast and brightness ratio was extreemely high compared to other cheap brands and more importantly the screen is made by LG and phillips.
For the price i dont think you can beat it!

"incorperating award winning LG-Philips screen technology"
The quote above is from Direct Tv's website, firstly they cant spell incorporating correctly and secondly just because it may incorporate does not neccesarily mean that it has the LG Philips panel, or does it.

Secondly The 37" Hannspree from Ebuyer is £375 delivered. Ebuyer delivery service is exceptional although I returned mine as I didnt like the pixeallation on standard TV they reimbursed my money following day after collection. I think I might have ended up with a dodgy panel as everyone else seems to rave about it, tempted to reorder....hmmm

have u looked at the ratio of contrast on a hanspree? The atec compares well to the likes of a sony bravia, phillips or an LG.

Dont just think about the price... also does the hanspree your talking about have freeview?

Lets not start another technology debate/argument thread here!!!!

The contrast quoted on this is dynamic........lets leave it there.

well according to this website contract ratio is a gimmick

Also why would anybody want to get a HD TV to watch Freeview? Just about everyone has sky or cable anyway and Freeview wouldnt give you HD quality viewing where as SKY & Cable will.

I agree you get what you pay for thats why I returned my Hannspree, I also found the 37" massive and overbearing in my small living room and im considering going for a 32" Samsung, know an exellent deal coming up which I wil post later. Not knocking your post but for that kinda money you can get a Branded TV, i.e Samsung on Ebuyer just going for an extra £19.17 plus you get Freeview and 7000:1 contrast Ration which is much higher than this TV and also you get Free Delivery and I can vouch for Ebuyer Delivery Service is excellent. I have no Experience of Direct Tv's Looks like Ive just found a good deal for you Mate!
