Playing Pacman was my favourite on the original console that I still have in working condition.

wasted youth

More expensive than rare replay (_;)

Heat for the sore thumbs none the less! Thanks Turks

Ahhhh back in the days of plug in and play.

heat for the deal. also, Dizzy avatar.

The poster is a good quality poster too!

stick with your memories. They are never as good as you remember. I can't believe I spent hours on these.

3D Tic-Tac-Toe, Adventure, Adventure II, Air-Sea Battle, Aquaventure, Asteroids, Backgammon, Basketball, Battlezone, Black Jack, Bowling, Breakout, Canyon Bomber, Centipede, Championship Soccer, Circus Atari, Combat, Combat 2, Crystal Castles, Demons to Diamonds, Desert Falcon, Dodge 'Em, Double Dunk, Fatal Run, Flag Capture, Football, Frog Pond, Front Line, Fun With Numbers, Golf, Gravitar, Hangman, Haunted House, Home Run, Human Cannonball, Jungle Hunt, Maze Craze, Miniature Golf, Missile Command, Night Driver, Off the Wall, Outlaw, Polaris, Pong, Realsports Baseball, Realsports Basketball, Realsports Soccer, Realsports Volleyball, Return to Haunted House, Saboteur, Save Mary, Sky Driver, Slot Machine, Slot Racers, Space Invaders, Space War, Sprintmaster, Star Ship, Steeplechase, Stellar Track, Street Racer, Submarine Commander, Super Baseball, Super Breakout, Super Football, Surround, Swordquest: Earthworld, Swordquest: Fireworld, Tempest, Video Checkers, Video Chess, Video Pinball, Warlords, Wizard, Yars' Revenge

Pity they never released the Flashback 2 here as that had actual 2600 hardware (on the chip) whereas this is emulation on an ARM chip. Good games though including some nice unreleased titles; one of which (Saboteur) I did the cover art for

no frogger, pitfall, q-bert or the smurfs.

Does this *only* allow you to play those listed games or can you use your own cartridges as well?

No cartridges. Mr Anderson posted a Youtube review in comment #3

Loads you can play for free on game-oldies.com/

Too many classic games missing I think.

Worth it just so it looks cool on the AV rack. Heat!

No Pacman

As someone else pointed out, it's emulated and a lot if the games originally used paddles but you have joysticks only here making them unplayable.

No Pacman

No real loss. While Pacman in general is great, the Atari 2600 version is widely regarded as one of the worst conversions of the game, even considering the Atari 2600s limitations, the mazes look nothing like the arcade game.

No river raid!!! Shocking...

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

For most people this would be 5 min of fun and nothing more.

Yep. I was born in the mid seventies...grew up during the video game revolution, played every format as they were introduced.....and I can guarantee that anyone who bought this would play it and the next week try and flog it on eBay. The nostalgia aspect soon wears off. Unfortunately.

As this box just emulates the Atari, if you have a PC or Mac, just go download z26 for free and go get all the games (also for free) from AtariAge.com. Might as well emulate on something you already own

All the arcade games will be the 2600 versions which aren't as good, so if you are buying it for space invaders for example can get better elsewhere. Good for the 2600 specific games though. (EDIT Space invaders is arcade, not sure about other games though)

Also the tv boy that argos sold in the 90s had better selection of games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV_Boy
Looks like there is some on available on ebay at the moment for same price. Obviously this deal is better hardware 2 controllers, wireless, new etc but thought it's worth mentioning.

Space Invaders is the arcade version.

£24 for childhood nostalgia. Seems good to me. Hot!

That's because River Raid was an Activision game for the old console, none of their games are on here.

RuudBullit

no frogger, pitfall, q-bert or the smurfs.

Atari didn't own or create any of those, so they aren't on here sadly.
