coming down in price, nice!! I could do with another

Didint understand for what should people have to buy this? You will never use it to the full potential and after few months it will go down in price by double.

i spose it will drop after the 6 series is released next month.

That aside, it's a good price if you want one of these cards now. Voted hot.

Why would you not use its full potential? There are games out now that require at least this level of card to run at max. There are people who like to play games at the highest settings, just becausce you don't does not mean its pointless for everyone to buy a top end card. Each to their own. This is the best price of these cards so far. There will be further reductions over the next few weeks though. Amd hd 6000 series is very nearly here and nvidia and ati will reduce the prices of there older cards.

Well you will, when games requirments increase, which they do constantly. You'd buy it for future proofing and for Hi-Res gaming of course.

That said, the 6000 series is right around the corner so expect these to plummet in the not to distant future...

Show me few games, that require spec like these.
My old Radeon 4830 does the job on highest game settings perfectly.

You mean 'acceptable' not 'perfect'.

Example :

I have a 4870 in one PC and a 5850 in the other. When playing BFBC2, I can turn the AA all the way up on the 5850, but on the 4870 i need to leave it at 4X or the framrate drops to the point where it affects my accuracy.
