Destinology are offering Atlantis the Palm, Dubai for £234.50 per night half board for 2 persons ( £117.25 pppn ) for dates in March 2020. That includes entry to the Aquaventure waterpark and the Lost Chambers aquarium. Entry to Aquaventure alone is normally £60. For one of the iconic 5* Dubai hotels in Dubai peak season that is very cheap, even without the free waterpark entry.I have used the link I have just booked from for 14/3 to 18/3. Other dates are available
The next cheapest rate available on Tripadvisor is currently £312 for room only

This place is more like a holiday camp, for families with young kids I am sure it is amazing but as this is a 'couple' deal bear in mind thousands of kids running around out of control, crazy busy and in our case even the waterpark was shut for 3 days of the 7 we were there.

Dont get me wrong a reasonable price but iconic and grand etc. are not words I would choose for the Atlantis the Palm, there are far nicer hotels available to choose in Dubai

I highly recommend Destinology though, used many times and excellent service provided

Honestly the water park is great for a visit. Especially if you get it discounted through the Entertainer etc. The hotel itself is not great.. Ranking is pretty low. It looks amazing from the outside but inside service isn't to the standard of the majority of Dubai hotels.
I thought Atlantis was one of the best hotels in Dubai?

it is fantastic, we went in august and loved it. yes it is full of kids, but why wouldn't it be when you have a an onsite waterpark
Who takes kids to Dubai!?

It depends what you are looking for. There are some very good restaurants included in the half board package but the hotel is a lot like a Disney resort. I prefer the Jumeirah Beach Hotel but that is closer to £650per night and there is currently building work going on. I changed one of my existing bookings to book this on the strength of the price.

Definitely not. Especially considering value. Still good don't get me wrong. But there are far better hotels in Dubai for a lesser cost. Also consider if you want to go elsewhere in Dubai. Atlantis is kind of out of the way and a long taxi drive anywhere.
It is an amazing hotel - I think what the posters above are getting at is if you want ultra luxury and personal service then stay somewhere else. Atlantis is brilliant - but it is a huge tourist hotel so you do feel like just one of the crowd.
I love it here and I am sure I will visit again - I have been several times in school holidays with my 2 kids and it has never felt "over run" - however, if I were a couple then I would likely stay elsewhere for the above reasons.
March is less likely to have as many kids being out of school time.

It is iconic and lobby is very impressive as is the walk down to the aquarium ...so poster above is talking rubbish - however, the rooms although very nice, are any different to the many 5 star hotels in Dubai

The buffet breakfast is amazing and the dinner buffets are exceptional - you can use half board at some of the other restaurants but many of them have very high supplements.

Of course there are a lot of families - Water park and Aquarium included with the hotel are a huge part of the appeal.

The only other hotel with an equivalent waterpark is the Jumeirah Beach Hotel that is currently £650 per night for the same period

You can actually stay at any of the Jumeirah hotels and have access to Wild Wadi for free. That includes Dar Al Masyaf, An Naseem, Al Qasr

Lol so when i went in August. I stayed in a room which had Air Con not working and other issues after complaining received a nice £250 credit to use at the hotel.

Each to their own but when you have been to Dubai as many times as I have you know what is available.
Also there is a reason its #219 of 647 hotels in Dubai...

All of which are similar in price to the JBH. The cheapest Jumeirah equivalent is the Zabeel which is a long taxi ride to the JBHs Wild Wadi.

I have no desire to compare passport stamps or 5* hotels visited but I posted this deal because it is a very cheap Atlantis offer. That is unarguable. As to the Tripadvisor reference, it is still rated at 4.5.

I have also been to Dubai many times on Business and Pleasure and have stayed at a wide variety of hotels.
I am stating the facts and trying to provide helpful information - rather than being dismissive about the deal like your feedback - stating that Atlantis is far out may be helpful to some but showing deal that you recommend rather than just stating loads of better cheaper options..

Yes, loads of amazing hotels that provide better personal service and are ultra luxury - but this is still an amazing hotel by most peoples standards. Yes you don't feel special staying there - you feel like one of the hundreds of tourists and it is a bit of a tourist production line .

But many people go to Dubai just once and the Atlantis is an Iconic place and the water park and aquarium are excellent.Having them on your doorstep is excellent
£235 for 2 half board is a vert good deal - accounting especially for the food cost which is very high and many of the hotels you are referring to I expect wont do HB packages that many will want.

Also there is a reason its #219 of 647 hotels in Dubai...

Correct - but 27k reviews at 4.5 stars - so lets keep the rank in context - Dubai has so many fantastic hotels a very high volume hotel will always slip down the ranks a bit.
I hold my hands up. You made some compelling points above and I probably was thinking about my own personal experience a bit too much! The water park is lovely. Just make sure you do get to see the rest of Dubai too!
I was also trying to keep this in context not being critical of the deal. The fact is this is not a HQ Dubai hotel, it is as another poster put more of a disney style hotel, service matches that, the restaurants particularly for breakfast are like a holiday camp in my opinion and certainly not what I expected from a supposed 5* hotel.

The service levels and quality is also lacking, check in etc. again is akin to a 3* type experience unless you have paid for the club suites level/lounge or whatever they are called. Half Board you have to pay for water and soft drinks if I recall correctly which is just madness.

The reason I posted my comments was I was not aware it was such a 'family' style hotel, its not bad its just you need to be aware of what you are paying for, the deal is a 2 person deal and therefore likely to be taken up by a couple who may think they are getting 5* Dubai quality, this is not that 100% and as posted TA reviews despite volume of reviews still reflect some very poor elements to the service and quality and that should be considered too.

This review a couple of days ago albeit a little 'sharp' probably sums up the hotel quite accurately:

"The customer service is shocking. There are too many people going through the hotel and the staff are not that bothered about giving a good service. It’s about how much money the Hotel can get out of you.
The building is amazing but just go and visit don’t stay over it’s like staying in a shopping mall..... I was very disappointed it’s my stay"

Last comment is again as someone noted, Atlantis is not really in the core of Dubai or near anything and that also adds to the considerations should you want to go out and about.

I prefer staying on the Walk and if you have kids then book the Atlantis for a few days like I did a few years ago. The hotel is really nice but like many people have said there are better hotels in Dubai. lots of them! I paid around 1200 a few years ago for 3 nights so this is a very good deal. The buffet dinner at Saffron at Atlantis is really good and I would recommend over the other restaurants which I found a bit underwhelming. This is a hot price if u want to just relax, eat good food and enjoy the waterpark/aquarium with kids.
