yes this is the cheapest you can buy and therefore I will add heat

Thanks, it didn't do much good though, I don't think people are reading the word DAB radio and just seeing it as a 1GB mp3 player.

I think this is an excellent price for this item. What you have to think about is whether you will receive a good DAB signal or not in your area. I've several portable DABs and ones of this form factor type usually use the headphones as the main means of receiving a signal. The other one I've tried with a similar form factor was woeful to say the least, the only way I could get a good reception was to hold the damn thing in the air!

I bought one of these this morning to try out and see if it was any different, if not then I'll sell it on as I'll get my money back no probs at this price.

The one I currently use is the Philips DA1102 which is compact, takes AAA instead of AA so is a lot slimmer in design, I get 40+ DAB radio channels of excellent quality, and thats with the item in my pocket! It also has a 1GB MP3 player on it and it only costs £29.99.

I've still rated this offer hot as it is really a good price for a DAB radio and a 1GB MP3 Player. Considering they are selling them elsewhere and averaging £59.99 for them then I dont understand why people would rate it cold. Probably the HUKD trolls at work again.

Thanks for the info and the heat. It does use the earphones as the antenna (Band-III Earphone Antenna).

They don't want to sell to me.
They will not allow me to register a username.
I'll just have to go somewhere else.
nobs!
I have therefore had to rate it cold.
Even dixons would wait til you had bought the stuff before they started messing you about!

User error :whistling: I just made another one as a test with no problems.

I bought one from boffer around 18 quid!!

Looks like the same one i bought from boffer for £18, about 2 weeks ago, and they have the pink one on offer every other week. In fact, I think i heard them say they might have them again for the next boffer sell off, Sunday the 19th onwards.

edit: beaten to it
