Would not trust these nuggets to do a decent job, took my company car to get a puncture fixed and they ended up damaging 2 alloy wheels. Their head office refused to accept responsibility claiming the damage was caused by kerbing. I offered to get the damage assessed by an independent specialist as it was clear the damage had been done on their machine and they coughed up. Dishonest cowboys.
Bunch of Jokers, they screwed mine up as no idea how to operate the machine. Had an independent specialist check it after and it had just 10% of the coolant it should have had. Save your money and search for someone who knows what they are doing and use them.

There's also a 20% off groupon code at vouchercloud - it brings this down to £23.60 (I've just bought one myself, thanks OP!)
Well my experience with them has been really bad. The same deal through Groupon... I was made to sit for over an hour and they told me that the recon has been done, but there is a problem with the air con... it would still not cool... Went to Halfords the next weekend, they refilled it and it is still working fine.

The one I went to were crooks. Wasted money and time... But I would still say it depends on the centre. The one I went to was near Heathrow. Please be careful while using them.

Had my AC done at Hx a few years ago, no problem, ordered again with the bacterial clean, also comes with 12% Quidco which is over £4. Funny enough I ordered this morning before this was published, but I think it is a good for about £32 all in.
Many main dealers without this companies reputation are around £40....

Really? Skoda dealers charge £79 and Skoda is hardly "premium".
Doesn't apply to hybrids. I'm not sure why as I am sure my AC is no different than any petrol car... but if they don't want the business so be it.

Many main dealers use companies like ATS for their re-gassing any way...

Yes it is EV's and Hybrids generally have a very expensive gas in the A/C system, as used for heating as well. it costs about £200 but doesn't need changing very often
Holden Honda charge £89 for a re-gas only! Antibacterial clean is an additional charge.

Many of the service centres like ATS, Halfords etc won't touch hybrids due to the high currents. There are additional motor vehicle certificates which allows technicians to work on and be covered for under insurance for EVs/hybrids.

Also, some EV and hybrid cars use a different gas and non conductive oil as their A/C compressors are electrical not belt driven. The gas is more expensive but not hugely.

However, several hybrids like my CRZ use the same air conditioning system as non-hybrid cars, with standard gas, but most places won't touch it due to it being a hybrid as they are not covered.

ATS only service A/C which uses R134a refrigerant. Many newer cars use R1234YF refrigerant (much more expensive), which ATS currently don't do.
There's also a difference between recharging and a full A/C service:
See here for an idea what a full service should cover:

Does anyone know if they can gas the newer standard that cars are now using?
For < £25 with the Vouchercloud code this is a great deal!! Thanks OP!!
I used ATS for my last AC recharge. Not problems at all. In fact, it’s been around 4 years since this was last done so think I may have to get this deal! Cheers

Funnily enough mine is a CRZ too! I thought it was a 'normal ' AC

Yup it has a belt driven unit and uses the older R134a refrigerant. I'm getting my CRZ re-gased by an independent guy in Norwich.

Bought this Groupon offer for my trusty Smart as used ATS before and no problems with the Aircon service provided.

Nope. R134 only.
Today my lease company paid Nissan £144 to regas my 2015 Qashqai with R1234yf. Kwik-fit don't do 1234yf anywhere and Halfords autocentres only have one facility within 100 miles of me equipped with the stuff.
Kinda defeats the point of "environmentally friendly AC Gas" when you have to drive a 70 mile round trip to get it gassed every two years.
Great price....thanks for posting OP
Morning everyone, my advice is that if you can get an a/c service done at any reputable garage for around the £40 mark, get it done now.why?
Well r134a last year was around £55 +vat for a 12kg bottle, the current price is around £320 +vat.An average car will need around £15 worth of refrigerant if empty, so taking staffing and other costs into account there is no profit to be made at the £29.50 price level. So in my honest opinion, either this is a loss leader to generate other work or the service will rushed or of a poor standard .
Yea I work in gases and what swfc has said is true, r134a price has gone crazy so get it done now. Luckily I get mine done for free at work hehe.

That’s my local one. Crooked as they come. Twice I’ve been offered to have a job done ‘out of the system...’ if I pay in cash. If you are local Airport Motors on the Colnbrook bypass are fantastic.
Tried one of these “deals” at Concorde via groupon.
First gut tells me he had done a “safety check” on my car despite not asking me and having absolutely nothing to do with an aircon refill, tells me brakes are dangerously low despite car passing mot the week before with zero advisories.
Day later aircon not even slightly cold.
These companies just do these offers to try and add extra services.

They have 330 centres around the country, you must have been unlucky.

I've used this company a few times (York) and they've always been thorough and attentive.

Maybe if you stated the particular centre you had the issue with other than slating the whole company from one person's mistake.
Bought the voucher and used the promo code. Thanks.
Ordered with the code incl anti bac. Cheers. Used these for my golf last year and no qualms at all
Ordered for around £18 or there abouts.

20 percent off order with voucher from vouchercloud.

12 percent off order with Quidco and an extra £2.50 off on top of the 12 percent!

I don't really need this as my air con is cold enough, but for the price... Why not?
I had gas recharge for £18 via Groupon offer in april 2017. Lasted the whole summer. Tried to use it when it got hot this year and nothing. There must be a leak somewhere?

Same as mine. Had Mini do an expensive service to try and fix, and they couldn't find the leak. Next year they did the same free-of-charge. Now I just topup every year via the cheapest place I can find.

Couldn't see where to use the Vouchercloud code.
Heat added.
Used the voucher cloud code and got the anti bac clean for £29.
Car is 11 years old and has never had this done.
They regassed mine after supposedly checking for air leaks. Stopped working the next day, when I went back was told that they need specialist equipment to check leaks (yet they claim to do it before a refill) got fobbed off. Looking back I should have took it further. They're rubbish and Wouldn't use them again, ever.

Take it further? Lol
Is anyone posting the voucher cloud code?
Had my Evo X done with these guys a while back and to be fair they were really good.

They were VERY respectful of my car as they could tell it was my pride and joy. They asked if i would prefer to drive my car into the garage myself (which i did),i was then asked if i wanted to stay with the car and watch while they did it so as to make sure i was happy with what they were doing.I opted to stay with the car as I had heard negitive things about ATS in the previous deal, but to be fair they done the job spot on and they spent most of the time ta;liking about my car and even took some photos lol.

So I’m voting hot as i personally had a positive experience.
Is it worth the extra getting the antibacterial compared to the standard recharge? What does that do....
