This is a great price £28-£30+ everywhere else and this works out cheaper than the standard version. Use code NEWZ or WELCOME and make a new account when that code runs out

I think this series is sure to be a landmark anime series

IMDB rating 9/10

Part 2 episodes 14-25 available at the same price on pre order

http//ww…ml

There is space inside the collectors edition box to fit part 2 in

I heated initially, presuming it was the entire 1st series - still a good deal but not great for me.

Really enjoyed this but they cheat immensely - a fair whack of each episodes length (on netflix at least) is devoted to recapping / looking foward (iirc - certainly recapping).

Buyer beware also - series 2 is some way off still

A lot of anime series are being released in this format when on blu-ray. Its near on standard.

Seen as part 2 is out October 27th. Id expect if they do even release series 1 as a full blu-ray set itd be well over a year before they do

yeah i think this'll hold its value , just based on most blu-ray anime series doing the same. the standard version is usually around £25

must be a recent price change. ive not ordered part 2 yet anyway. just wanted make sure there was no fancy version

This is only the first half of the first series. Bit expensive for that I think. Amazing series though, but series 2 is gonna be a few years away. As far as I know they haven't even finished writing the manga for series 2.

Hmm honestly think this should be the price for the whole first season, would be a definite buy for me then.

Since most anime is meant for weekly slots on Japanese tv, quick recaps and next times feature on pretty much every episode. Not sure why no one edits them for DVDs and streaming lol.

Is this the original? Not the dub? Sure I saw funimation wanting like £100 for their collectors edition!

You can skip the second half anyway. They turn what starts out as an interesting and somewhat original concept into yet another teenagers piloting mecha snooze-fest.

There's no doubt it's a one of the cheapest prices but £22.49 for 13 20 minute episodes is robbery...

Another option for people who just want to see it is to go to crunchyroll for a 2 week free trial. 2-3 episodes a night is nothing lol. Also you can do the USA netflix type trick and get other animes too.

the American collectors edition is different its got like art cards and a pendant I think aswell as other things.

this is the uk collectors edition. has a booklet inside with character bios and pictures aswell as some short chibi style comic strips

Ah was excited for this then i read it's only for half the series ......

Or just use kiss anime

Illegal streaming sites aren't really a fair comparison and I seriously doubt kissanime will have it in 1080p/blu-ray quality like on crunchyroll. Might aswell vote all film and boxset deals cold because piratebay is free. (_;)

Fantastic series and great price, I paid £30 only a few weeks ago and while it might seem expensive to some for only 13 episodes anime has always been pricey due to the content owners demanding quite a bit to licence the content still £25 for 13 episodes certainly beats the the Japanese releases which are around £50 for just 2 episodes.

Fair point against voting cold/hot I get that. I don't ever vote something cold just because I can get it for free.

I had a CR subscription for a couple months, but videos always stuttered and buffered for some reason. Also the library is pretty crap compared to kiss anime. The free version is out of the question with the constant ads and lack of 1080p.

Kiss anime however is just as good as CR in terms of 1080p quality, no ads at all and easy to output on the big screen via Chromecast. If you'd rather pay for a service like CR then fair play, but never knock something unless you've tried it

Super series. One of the best I've seen. Gripping stuff.

Never had a problem with CR personally and yes the library isn't complete as such but that's because CR is legit and has to obtain licensing/rights etc. Just had a quick look at KA and I was told off after a couple of mins for having an ad blocker on! "Premium" users see no ads. The main point I was trying to make though is that KA is illegal and whilst I'm sure it is fine to use, I don't see it as a comparable alternative especially as CR at least supports the studios/artists etc. It's one of those personal things.

Ah, I always use the mobile site I never see an ad haha. From there I just send it over to my Chromecast, works like a charm. CR did not want to work for me and I just ended up never taking out another subscription again.

But yeah I totally understand where you're coming from and I'll admit, I should be doing the same but I'm not sure if I can expect CR to work as smoothly as KA for me. I might just create a new account and try the premium free trial. If it works out well I'll revert back. If not, KA it is.
