a lot of furniture is made in china now, inc DFS, Next, M+S etc. at least with Argos you expect it to be rubbish however I am going to contradict myself now. Recently there was a wardrobe on here that I bought and was pleasantly surprised that it said made in UK.

It will check the warehouse in your area so some areas will hav delivery stock and others won't.

Should be expired now, checked three different areas and out of stock...:x

I've had a lot of Argos furniture over the years, particularly when I first moved in with my then-girlfriend, now-wife.

Basically, I would never, ever again buy anything with drawers from Argos. They're always dowelled, are overly reliant on glue to hold them together, and either have thin MDF bases (cheap end stuff like this), or far-too-thin plywood bases at the higher end.

None of the drawers I've had from there are any good for filling with clothes which most people are looking to do - they get stuck as the bases start to balloon out even if it's just a drawer pull of socks and pants.

If you're looking to just get a few light bits out of the way for not a lot of money, fair purchase, but do be warned if you're looking to buy to store clothing or anything with any weight about it. You're better off looking at one of the open-fronted wardrobe schemes with drawers from Ikea where build quality is much, much better.
