Which normal working person has 52 grand to spend on a car. Most people …Which normal working person has 52 grand to spend on a car. Most people struggle to pay for mortgage every month. Ridiculous prices in my opinion.

Those struggling to pay for mortgage should look for better job I guess. Still I can't afford 52 grand for a new car but in 4 years it will be like any other premium large saloon worth 30-40% of the original value at best

The D5 A8 is a cracking car! Just so there isn't any model designation confusion, it is a 3.0L diesel and not a 5.0L
Free road tax for a year, that's a winner.

Heat
Cold. No foot massager!

But seriously had one on loan recently wouldn’t ever buy one. Small boot and rear seats don’t fold - only for people who will occupy the rear seats and be driven around.
I've just customised one. It came to just under 100 grand. They should make a TV show called Rich car , poor car .

Any pics?
£7450 deposit and £399 a month over 4 years on pcp @ 0% and optional final payment of £25622 to own the car.

10k miles pa, (11p pm excess)
I think these are made principally for the Chinese market. They are HUGE. Drove one briefly when my A7 went down. Like steering a barge.

I have to say as far as cars go, at some point it dawns on you what an utter money pit they can be...

If you think rich people buy stuff for full retail prices you will stay poor forever..
Good price! Heat. So many haters on HKUD. Just because you can’t afford it, doesn’t mean others can’t.
Dang……max i can afford is £52,239.
Oh well, will just look for some other deal instead.

Do you begrudge people who can afford to spend this much on a car? Says more about you than them.

3 years old D4s are around £25K, depending on spec. Maybe they will push D5 on PCH promotions, if they can't sell them. I got one in 2017 on 6 + 23 x £399. Extended for 3rd year at £374pcm.
Edited by: "Zosia" 16th Nov 2019
Don't get me wrong, £374 is a great price for a new car leased when it comes to this car but it still £140 more than my mortgage right now they are expensive hence why I prefer to purchase a car rather than lease when it's between 3-4 years old and then have the choice to either keep it or trade it in for something newer.

With London prices, my mortgage is 4x what I pay to lease A8. I guess, all depends on a point of view
