Audi Southwest have just started a promotion offering air conditioning system refresh on your car for only £17.50. I am unsure whether this deal is nationwide, but thought it was worth posting up in just in case (worth checking with your local Audi dealer!).
The last time I got my air conditioning refreshed on my car it cost me around £80, so this is on heck of a good deal if you can get it.

Will more than likely tell you that your air con needs recharging when you're there.
How does a refresh differ from a recharge?
Recharge is when they regas the system, this is needed when it stops blowing cold

What audi are offering is a kind of deoderiser which cleans out the system i bleieve to stop it stinking out the car. However this is a con,

see below and do it yourself, i believe these off the shelf soltions are easy to do you just set it off in the car with your air con on full and leave it for a certain amount of time

]clicky
Why was my response deleted, i was just pointing out this is a con, go to halfords and pickup a can of aircon cleaner, set it off in the car cabin, leave it and done....

This is a thing which just cleans out the system a recharge is when they re-gas the system

absolute joke, what did i do wrong?
Go to Aldi (not Audi) and buy a pack of airconditioning cleaner there for £1.99 (£2.99 at Poundstretcher)

Run your aircon for 10 minutes with the cannister discharging and job done £15.51 cheaper than Audi.

Sorry folks, doesn;t appear this deal is so good after all. Best I stick to the day job I think.....
My Missus is a service advisor and she gets £5 for every mug who she signs up for one of these 'treatments' at her main dealers.

I can confirm it's the same stuff as at Aldi above.
Used some of the £1.99 Aldi stuff a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't worked 100% but there has been a bit of an improvement, would recommend using 2 cans to get the best result.
Gave you 9 degrees thinking it was a recharge, my bad :whistling:
I haven't got air con on my car so would i get it free if so i'll vote it luke warm

Thanks for that vote of confidence - looking on the positive its save me some dosh too as I was gonna get my A6 done
I have a can of the Lidl stuff, not used it yet.

It is also worth removing the pollen filter (under my bonnet on my Audi) and spray dettol anti-bacterial spray in to the entrance way while the air con is running. Give it a good spray. That kills off bacteria before the "recirculating" part of the system that the Lidl/Aldi cans will get.

Oh and if using the Lidl/Aldi stuff remember to set your aircon to recirc while the can is spraying.
