This is only a deal if
a) you are interested in leasing, and
b) you are interested in a car such as an Audi S5
I acknowledge that if you don't answer yes to a and b you may not consider this to be a deal.

I've been looking for a lease deal for a Mercedes GLA45 for a while but with no luck. However, in my search I noticed this offer and I'm quite tempted.

The car is the special black edition of the 328bhp Audi S5 coupe and although it’s near the top of the A5 range, it is one of the cheapest A5 lease deals around.

The price for a 24 month lease is £329.99 per month +VAT, with upfront costs of £2,969.91 + VAT (Initial Payment) and £150 + VAT (Documentation Fee). This is based on an annual mileage of 8,000 miles and no service pack. Total cost is £12,851.62 (or £10,709.68 for those who can claim back the VAT).

Just for comparison:
A5 1.8T, 10,000 miles, 24 months: £635.60 per month (Central UK Vehicle Leasing) -saving £5,760.59
A5 2.0T, 10,000 miles, 24 months: £548.57 (All Vehicle Contracts) –saving £3,236.86
S5 3.0, 10,000 miles, 24 months: £685.88 (Rivervale Vehicle Contracts) –saving £7,053.37
S5 3.0, 10,000 miles, 24 months: £787.78 (National Vehicle Solutions)- saving £12,873.11

Surely the RS5 is the top of the A5 range.

Worth checking out what the excess mileage costs incase the 5,000 limit works out cheaper.

That's a great price. These are expensive and very powerful cars. With a remap will be close to RS5 performance and have 4WD so useable all year round.

Would you really pay out that sort of money for a car like this knowing that you could only drive it 8000 miles a year......

Sure would look pretty on the driveway.

Quick check on Autotrader, there's quite a few with less than 15k 2,3,4 years old, almost criminal.

This is a Drive video showing what happened when they remapped an S4 and compared it to an RS4. Because its a non invasive remap (not chipped) you could remap, have fun then unmap it when you have to give it back. Im sure there are lots of insurance and contractual reasons why you shouldn't but...

Drool, but no.
Still voted hot, not because it's a good deal but because it's a hot car and I like it.

Excellent, will remap my 1981 1.1L fiesta..... Watch my mate cry when I overtake his Nissan GT.

Oh.......looks like they might not have a remap for that one!

- You're right - "at" changed to "near".

... also for comparison

S5 3.0, 5,000 miles, 24 months: £419.99 (Gateway 2 Lease). Lower initial payment of £2,099.94 + VAT so this would work out less expensive than original post albeit Gateway 2 Lease quote is for 5,000 miles.

wrong. They can tell their diagnostic tool that you have remapped it. Whether they check is another matter

prefer my s3 to this, I know a lot of s5 drivers who have ditched this in four of the faster s3

favour not four. predictive rubbish text strikes again

I used to have an S3 Sportback but would love an S5 as feel its less boy racer. Would have one with DSG though.

voted hot - this is a cracking deal for this car

I like the S3 but my girlfriend is getting a golf R so was looking for something a little more further removed.

I prefer the sound of the 4.2
Out of the 8000 miles per year, about 200 of that would be wheel spin
