Signing up to a membership lets you buy credits at 3 for £13.

Then, during sales (monthly), you can pick up audiobooks for £2.20 each which is a bargain of the highest order.

You had a free book gifted at all? I can send a link for a good couple of reads too.
I used Audible so much they invited me into a pilot program for the launch of Members Picks. I got a free credit for every review.

But then I had a 2.5 hour commute each way, daily. So *shrug*.

I think my collection is over 300 audiobooks now. Still loads to go.

Have you read "off to be the wizard"?? I'm guessing so. Need a few good suggestions if you have any favourites

It depends what you are into but the ones I really enjoyed

- Everest 1953 and/or No Shortcuts to the Top
- The Martian is narrated extremely well
- Zero to One (if you like like techie Silicon Valley stuff which 70% of my library is)
- Future of the Professions
- Ghost in the Wires by Kevin Mitnick is eye-opening
- Fear by Bob Woodward is compelling stuff

I will check out Off To Be The Wizard

Thank you
I went to cancel the other day (chose option saying it’s too expensive) and they offered me 3 months half price. Worth a go either way.

Ghost in the Wires, is that in the 2 for 1?
Can't see it

Three that i enjoyed recently are:-

We Are Legion (We Are Bob)
Children of time
Ancillary Justice
Thanks OP. Got Suggs autobiography and Adrian Mole: The Prostrate Years. You’d never guess I’m a middle-aged man from that, would you.

Defo we are bob, love the 2 sequels and can't wait for "the search for bender" to be released too
If I had a credit there's a couple of go for but nothing there that I'd be desperate to own. Seems to be the same ones that they regularly chuck on. Cheers for the heads up and heat added anyway.
Funny how none of my wish list is ever in a sale! I wonder if the algorithm excludes them for individual users or if they compile the sale from poor selling stuff?

Ghost in the wires is good, but Masters of Doom is fantastic if you grew up with 90s PC games!
Any deals or codes for rejoining?

Nah, my wishlist is regularly in sale and Audible also do sales specifically discounting your wishlist 4 times a year.
For me the best series that I have listened to are both from RR Haywood, his extracted trilogy and his 20 book undead series if anyone was looking for a recommendation. Listening to those became obsessive lol

Fair enough. Aren't the wishlist sales not 2 for 1, but fixed prices so you don't feel incentivised to use your credits?
Is there any R.A. Salvatore on there?
Ypnos04/11/2019 10:40

Only 106 books
Currently listening through the entire series of Expeditionary force by Craig Alanson and Survival quest by Vasily Mahanenko, i recommend both if you are into sci-fi/fantasy
Ypnos04/11/2019 12:52

Oh, they're not in the sale...

my bad, i was in the 2 for 1 section and then searched and saw 106, didnt realise it had taken me out of the 2 for 1

It's ok. I begged Audible for a discount and they knocked 50% off for 3 months. Then I returned 4 books I didn't like 😁

Any idea how I’d get into he pilot program, I’ve been listening for over a year and have around 50 audiobooks thanks

I don't think they have any more running. It was before they launched Audible podcasts and stories for members. Just use the app aggressively and when they launch a new feature you will likely get an email.

I also left reviews and ratings which might have helped.
