Sounds good, mine is ending soon and didn’t want to pay the £8 but £4 sounds good

How many times can I go to cancel a month and get a free book?

guessing book of the day isn't included in this

BTW is this limited to one or two books, or any number ?
I took up the 3 for £3.99 instead of just getting a free book (think it works out better value tbh.) I'm enjoying audible atm, purchased a few £1.99 books in between my monthly subscription. I have torrented audiobooks before but do feel a little guilty that why I joined Audible. Will try this trick when my 3 months are up.
Any re-joining offers for ex-customers? Been off audible for a while though sometimes still buy the book of the day if it's good. Would rejoin at a decent price but all the recent audible offers only work on new accounts...
I've rejoined twice now and both times just emailing customer services to see if there's any £3.99 for 3 months offers on, they always get back to me and offer me it.

How long apart did you "leave"?
About a week. Maybe less

Typically once you have used it that’s it and you will only have the reduced subs option or talk to cust service. In my experience anyway.......
I never got a free book, instead went for that 3 month deal. Possibly a mistake now knowing you can get this deal after you get your free book. When my 3 months are up I'm gonna cancel then ask can I get a free book (no harm in trying) and then try for this deal again like Smith does.
Thanks
I have stopped and started several times now. Always choosing the too expensive. I have then been offered the 3 months half price, which I have been paying that then one month at the £8. Then cancel.... Been offered the free book credit to stay.... This time was offered £10 credit. I had used my no rush credits to buy a few kindle books. So could upgrade to audible books. 3 books with that £10. Can also use if get offered that on daily deals....
Thanks i got a free çredit or ten pounds voucher. Took free credit cancel later wait for another discounted membership
Totally true ,have opted to cancel then offered a better price ,now cancelled totally as have to much to listen to ,will restart happy to pay full price for excellent quality , even at full price is excellent value ,a good book with a good narrator is like your own movie , nothing against reading but quality audible is great ,trouble is sometimes you have to trim your budget ,but fair play to Amazon they offer options and thats really good !
Also may I add that audible books are great for sleeping , you relax even when the action hits on Chapter 1 ,then wake up to Chapter 22 ,then restart and do the same again the next night from Chapter 1.5 and wake up on Chapter 22.5 ,great dreams ,confusing spoilers, then the next day having to find where you left off , anyone else out there that does this I.m sure there are many ,you need an excellent narrator though ,lol ,up to Chapter 8.3 after a week !
Been with Audible for years now. I think 7.99 a month is nothing for the service and benefits it offers. It is not only story books but real learning through "the Great Courses". Reading about philosophy or economics from some of the greatest lecturers is a real gift.
I like the opportunity to get 50% of though! Thanks OP.
I've done this a number of times as well. Various offers at different times.

The other thing worth considering, if you're sticking with Audible for a while, is switching to a different package. Monthly is £7.99, but if you lock in for a year it's £70 (£5.83 a month) or two years it's £110 (£4.58 a month).
I have found loads of audio books on you tube they get taken down just as quick through
Thank you, worked for me. Would have paid the £7.99 but thanks to you it's been chopped in half!
What books do people listen to? I am listening to chicanery (got it free) and liking it. Planning to get the Harry Potter series - any other recommendations for kids books in the age 10ish range?
The Martian. Got me into audio books. RC bray does excellent narration

I'm listening to the Complete Sherlock Holmes, read by Stephen Fry. It was one of the books I chose (during my 90 day free trial) and its about 72hrs and is supposed to be £79.99
The problem I have is that I have several Audible Credits as I will be getting a load of books in February for my long trip abroad. I can't threaten to cancel because you lose the credits apparently?

i use the sleep timer set at 15 mins and a pillow speaker that was about 4 pounds from amazon normally takes me 5 mins... rare i need to restart a timer. Without the book can sometimes take me an hour or so.
You star ! Thank you :-)

Spend before you cancel even if on preorders? maybe i misunderstood.I sometimes try and hold one back as often do a buy one get one few on selected books but finding its similar books each time and got what I wanted.

Also a tip.... If you have a Xiaomi phone that will do dual apps... I do that for audible as lets me access my account and am also signed in on my partners account. So phone has access to both our books while you can't family share found this fine. Little issue if want to listen to same book as you will both be loosing your place.

My 11 year old was harry potter mad, David Walliams, Bill Bryson, ready player one, Yahtzee Croshaw (maybe) and The Complete Chronicles of Narnia my recommendations.
The offer didn't come up for me when I went to cancel. Only had the option of one free book. I then accidentally cancelled my membership with no offers. Went on live chat and asked if they could renew my account with the 3 months for £3.99 offer and they were happy to do so.

I have read the book and somehow in my head it felt like Matt Damon is narrating it even when I was reading it
