Too much low end hump. They look a bit more like W shaped.

I'm quite sensitive to clamping too. What did you go for in the end?

I love the clamping feeling on mine. Makes me happy to know they aren't going to fall off anytime I bend forward

These headphones are fantastic, have used them to DJ for about a year and a half and genuinely couldn't fault them!

Good find + would highly recommend if you're looking for something true to production/flat

They're not tonally flat but quite enjoyable.

Fair play, flat enough for me when mixing.

If you have other references and know the M40x sound it shouldn't be a big deal

In fact, Rtings who in my personal opinion take a very technical approach to reviews, have said these headphones don't produce excessive clamping force.

Aren’t the M50Xs the audio technica dj standard?

Not sure what that means.
Had my mx50s for over 4 years, done me good however sadly the ear cups had to be replaced and they have never been the same since.

PRetty much most DJs, studios or any audio person uses these.

EDIT: NVM i thought these were M50x, they are what are used a lot.

I have these, they're very good. I don't like overly bassy headphones so I find these very good with many genres of music
Great price for neutralist cans, easily the best headphones around that price range.

False... Sennheiser HD25 by far the most popular/industry standard. V Moda's are also popular along with the various offerings from Pioneer. I've never seen anyone rock ATH M50s in a club environment but I do know a few people who use them in the studio...
