If its mounted up on the passenger side of the rear view mirror, its hardly noticable either by the driver or from anyone on the outside.
I have mine mounted like this {albeit a different model}, and the only way I know its there is from the beep it makes when I switch on the ignition.

I also prefer to use the 3M sticky pad mounts rather than the suction cup type as they take up less room & are less prone to falling off when it gets hot - looks like this model comes with both types of mount.
Their relatively low cost, and hence even lower second hand value makes them generally unattractive to thieves.

You can mount with included Suction mount same as Sat Nav's and when not in use take off easily.

Thanks. I think I'd prefer to have mine in a discreet place all the time, save me having to attach and remove it each time. I'm hoping car manufacturers begin to build cars with this technology inbuilt.
Ordered many thanks

Which model do you have and did you wire it to the ignition yourself?
Thanks in advance.
Also, did you need to buy a dash cam wiring kit?
All gone at the cheaper price.
Yeah, tried to order but it's gone.
great price - was going to buy at £40 last night, so glad I waited. Just have to resist buying two (one for the rear) at this price.

Any recommendations of a good priced SD card for this from anyone would be appreciated

Thank you

Ive had a 'wedge' type fitted on the front screen for almost 3 years now & its still working fine on the original 32gb micro sd card - {make sure the cards a branded class 10 such as toshiba/sandisk/sony}
My original write up HERE

The latest version of the VIOFO A-118C wedge type with gps currently costs around £60
amazon.co.uk/dp/…78W

Ive also just fitted another type to the rear screen {which also gives warnings when entering speedcam zones}

I have a mobius camera mounted next to my rear view mirror using this mount and its barely visible from outside the car. Mine is then wired (using regular USB) around the window, behind the dash (after removing a dash panel) and wired into the 12v socket that used to be inside the dash (removed to power dashcam as never use and car has 2 other 12v ports in centre console)

Would this work the same using inside house right against a window inside looking outside, as I've tried indoor infrared night vision cams but they can't see outside in the dark as ir reflecting back from glass, so can anyone recommend this instead?

It should be fine as it doesnt use any infra red leds for illumination.
Actually, ive got an indoor IP cam looking out of the window at the drive, & I had the same problem of IR reflection causing the image to be totally 'whited out' - so I turned off the IR's in the PC menu & night image is now perfect - helped a lot by having a streetlamp directly outside.

You can also buy a seperate outdoor mounted IR lamp for illuminating the area you want to view outside - these are virtually invisible to the human eye but should be perfect for these types of camera -

Seems to be the going rate for a high endurance card. Genuinely happy to be shown something else as I only went off comments from other dash cam threads

Cant be 100%, but most dashcams give you the option to do that.
Just seen a couple of videos on it, & I was pretty impressed with its nightvision >> VID HERE

In the product description it states "Motion Detection" so as I asked earlier about using looking from Window inside house to outside, would Motion Detection activate cam to start recording?

Although I have no knowledge of this particular camera, I cant see any difference with it either recording from within a car or a house using its motion detection.
However, If your looking for a house-bound security camera, why not consider one of the many IP based cameras which also record to card - and can simultaneously transmit their images to tablet/phone, such as THIS ONE for around £18 from Gearbest

I've already received delivery of this dash cam, I just wanted to know before opening box if it does use motion detection to activate recording , so now you've verified it does, I will try it out but if it's no use I will return for refund! Thanks.
