  • 2 USB Ports: One is used for connecting laptop or power band to drive the cooler. The other allows for plugging in an external keyboard, a mouse, or any other USB devices
  • 1 Metal Mesh Stand: Fairly large; able to hold laptop with the maximum size of 16.53 inches in length and 12.59 inches in width
  • 1 Rotary Switch: To turn on/off the fans and LED light; Also, used to adjust the speed and brightness

Already have 3 of these that I don't use... bought this one because it's cheap?

These are pointless, do you think laptop manufacturers build their laptops …These are pointless, do you think laptop manufacturers build their laptops to overheat? Just a gimmick

They do get hot though which can throttle performance. Heat isn't good for the battery either.

Have you heard about thing called "thermal throttling"?
I am looking for a laptop heater in Scotland.

Depends if you disassemble and clean out all the dust buildup smothering your cpu/motherboard.

Hahahahahahahahaha, I have many similar one's I too bought some year's too.

Used one of them almost religiously (more than 5 year's back, for almost 1year!), but the remaining lot, I honestly never touched again (beyond checking that they all worked at the time, then back in the box they went). :-(

But for the same reasons that you stipulated above, I want this one too also, lol. :-)

Mine is overheating. The internals get clogged up with dust/fluff overtime which cause them to heat leading to either throttling of performance or as in my case complete shutdown. The ultimate solution will be to open up the laptop and hoover the fluff/dust, but this will help.
Ordered reluctantly - not sure if this will help a relatively old but high spec'ed laptop. Heat given OP.

what if you buy this, reverse the polarity of the fans so they spin the opposite way...will it then suck the fluff out?

Don't need... don't need... don't need...

I'm exactly the same
Thanks OP. I just bought this to use on top of an Onkyo amp, for which I currently use a large fan to extract the hot air. The current fan covers only part of the amp, so if I turn it upside down I hope this Aukey will remove significantly more hot air from the Onkyo.

Plus I hope I can use the spare USB port to plug in a small desktop fan to push the hot air out of the TV cabinet. And if it doesn't fit in the small gap between the onkyo and the shelf, I will have (only) wasted £7.99, which I can live with I guess.
Pointless accessary, electronics are designed to withstand the heat or shutdown when "over heating" occurs. It's best to keep the laptop clean, open it up once out of warranty.

How loud is this? Is it noticeable or louder than a laptop?

Likewise, old i7 HP laptop that runs hot anyway!

No, but putting the laptop in the oven at 180C (160C fan) for 30 mins will. Alternatively, 30 secs in the microwave if you have a small enough laptop will do it. Also works on iPhones, but unfortunately not Android phones.

I've bought something similar to this. No real difference. Laptop doesn't really cool down Gimmick tbh

Eh...that comment makes no sense whatsoever. Must be the most random reply I've seen on here yet.
Just got my despatch notification for the two-fan version - a quid less at £6.99.

I'll be using it to keep my router cool in summer. Everything gets a bit toasty in my flat.

So the manufacturer low-key tells you that their laptops are not built to stay within an acceptable temperature and you need this silly device to keep it cool? I think I'll avoid Dell in that case then
Ordered. Will do nicely to use on the bed with my Inspiron Gaming which has bottom intake.

Not sure why there's so many negative comments about such a product.
Now unavailable end of story
Thought I'd give it a go for my HP gaming laptop with an i7 and 1070. Playing the division it'll go up to around 72 degrees. With the cooling pad the temperature increases by about 4 to 10 degrees. The fans pull air away from the laptop which is fine, unless your intake is on the bottom, if anything, it's a fairly quality stand.
Watch those things i put it on ma lap after I had a shower now everyone calls me wee hoff incher!

Just a silly question, my laptop doesn't have vents underneath, will fans like this help?
Out of stock
Anyone who bought this know what the little foam things are for?
