Great deal!
I just hope they are as good as my other two Aukey 38 led solar lights I bought in May 2018 for a similar price but without the remote control, they are still working brilliantly so didn't hesitate on buying these to further brighten the garden.
Strangely Amazon wouldn't let me order two at at the same time for some reason so I had to order them separately.
Also if anyone's interested I dismantled one of my other my two to see what they were powered by and each light contained two 18650 Li-ion batteries so that explains the long run times, hope these are a similar design.

Are these any good in terms of getting sunlight?
Seeing as we barely get any during the winter, not many reviews on amazon to go by
£8.99, seems £8.38 was the best price ever. Voted hot for the brand. Up until now, the only reliable lights I cam,e across were Mpow but I think I'm willing to give a try to this, Aukey makes decent products.

Best one I've had is a solar LAP type from Screwfix, It's under a polycarb roof in the porch and has done 3 years so far and doesn't do bad in the winter and summer sat at 40c+ in the sun.
Couldn't find another later.

If they're anything like my other 2 Aukey solar lights they'll be great, both mine are working fine all year round.
Price now gone up to £9.17
Can I take my vote back please? Went up in price 3 times in a space of 40 minutes, £9.97 now. Still good price but a bit naughty. I think I will wait for the Mpow to go down in price, paid £12.90 for 2 last year and very pleased with them.

Anyone know of a wired version for similar price? With motion detection.

I've got various LAP light with & without pir and not had any fail. I got them in screwfix sales few quid each
One of the reviews says it has no sensor, you have to turn it on with a remote?
Advertised WITH motion sensor, so incorrect review.
I can't see the point of a remote though....

I have 2 sitting here in front of me and yes they definitely have the sensor, I'm planning on fitting these high up on my garage gable wall so the remote control will be helpful in the summer to enable the light to be switched on permanently during BBQ's and late night pi*s ups.

Did yours work out of the box? Or does it need charging first? Mine doesn't seem to turn on out of the box.

I've only taken one out of the box and it didn't work so I presume it needs some sunlight to charge it, my last two Aukey solar lights were delivered flat as well but are still working perfectly.
Just need some bright light now to get it up and running but here in the North West that seems unlikely at the moment.

Excellent thanks

Just tested my light that's been outside all day in this cloudy rainy weather and it's now working perfectly so they definitely need a bit of light to get them up and running.
My 2 have been sat in the window of the porch and after 8 hrs one flashed and that was that, just checked them both and nothing.
Could be a few days to get them charged.

Same here, going to put it outside to charge if Dennis calms down a bit
Any progress? Mine seems DOA but will give it a few days before sending it back.
One worked for testing last night, the other worked a couple of times.
They had a bit of sun today so like say a few days grace before returning.

So I've left mine on the window sill for about 2 days to charge and now it seems to work. You have to hold the power button at the front for a few seconds and it turns on. However, the remote doesn't seem to be working, I've tried putting in new batteries and still no luck.
Is anyone else having trouble with the remote?

I discovered last night the remote is total crap, mine only works if i'm 3 inches away from the actual light so basically it's pointless having it.
The light works fine though!

I had both mine side by side and one responded to the remote, move across a foot and both worked.
I've only used one remote so far.
I will test mine later and see how the charge is.

So do you have to stand far away from it for the remote to work?
