looks nice but has quite a few 1 star reviews?
I have an Anker version of this, it's pretty good and comes on offer on Amazon every now and then for no more than a few quid more.

Mines been fine with no faults and it comes with a two year warranty which is pretty good. I've got two 2.5 hard drives, two USB sticks, a powered 3.5 HD, and printer hooked up. All function at the same time and never had any connection issues. The Ethernet was the bonus for me as the new laptop had an ethernet/USB adapter. This ticked that box too.
do you get full speed on all ports. I had a 7 port hub in the past but with more and 3 or 4 in use I'd get connection drops which made it useless. I now have 2 4 port hubs which is pretty stable but id rather just have one cable to plug in

Sorry. not sure of speeds. I've been using it on both a laptop with USB 2.0 and another with USB 3.0. Obviously there is a difference there. Not benchmarked between using via this or direct link. I've had no drop outs but probably not used more than four at one time.
Gone for this as my Pc is not able to power one of my external 2.5 HDD on the USB 3.0 ports . Being a powered hub should get round this.
Got one of these with 3 charging ports last year been working fine no probs at all.

Usb 3.0 is old now. Better to buy usb c(Usb 3.1) hub and use adapter if to connect it to usb 3.0 socket if needed.
I've had this for over a year and it's been solid as a USB hub only issue I've had is if the mains is turned off and on then the hub does not power back on automatically and after a minute of thinking why your keyboard isn't working you have to press the power button.
Got the last one, you can expire deal now. But added some heat! Great find!
The stock may be a lie, as it still says 1 in stock. haha
ordered thanks TRIC
Good design - with the usb sockets acoss the hub. The pitch is not always enough for wider card readers if they are side by side (round 90 degrees)
I bought their other 4 port (non-dedicated power) hub and sometimes devices stop working if I plug 4 in at once. Is this likely due to not having dedicated power or the USB bandwidth on my Z97 motherboard?

I've had one of these for a while now, so far just used as a wired (powered) USB hub. How does the ethernet connectivity work? How do you locate connected volumes on your network? Any software needed?

Yes, that's a bit annoying, I noticed the occasional 3am power cut left it in standby until the button is pressed.

Whats your PSU?
And never chain adapters. its very bad and can cause a shock
750W Corsair M I think. I never chain adaptors. It usually happens when I say plug in a usb 3.0 hard drive and my mouse dongle stops working. Also my xbox one wireless adaptor sometimes needs replugging in for it to connect. Sorry about the cables. I don't do neat and tidy. 33785108-o5KA8.jpg

Have you got a link to the Anker one? Cheers
I may be being slow but .... If I connect the ethernet port to my router and then connect a wired printer (one with no wireless capability) to one of the USB ports, do I then have a wireless printer ?

Mine came today. I'm a little worried about using it though. The thing gets very warm and the usb devices plugged into it are hot to the touch when removed. Surely this isn't normal/safe.
Anyone else seeing this on amazon, I've getting a currently unavailable using the link provided.

"Question:
amazon.co.uk/ask…hza
Answer:
Im not aware of mine getting warm but I would imagine if all of the slots are used especially the charge one green. then it probably does get warm.
By keith on 13 May 2018 Mine gets slightly warm when in use. I would expect it to get warmer the more power you're pulling from it, for example if you have an external disk drive attached to it.

I've not noticed this happening with mine.

Didn't seem to answer it. I only have a dongle and usb speakers plugged it and it's worryingly warm.
