Seems like a good price for a USB Type C charger, granted the 27W isn't the most powerful on the market but for £8.99 I think it's a good price. Click on the promotions and Redeem the £12.00 voucher for the discount to £7.99

I wonder if this would charge the Nintendo Switch at full speed?
aukey.com/products/usb-c-wall-charger-with-power-delivery-3-0-pa-y8

Good price for a proper power delivery charger, even ones from banggood or AliExpress will cost this or more.

USB-C Output: (PDO) 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 12V 2.25A, 15V 1.8A, 20V 1.35A

It doesn't come with a cable, it's just the charger.

Yes, this should be good for the switch, I think the official charger goes to 39w, so I'd have thought 27w would probably do it.

I have one of these and it charges my Dell XPS 13 no problems, it comes up with a warning advising it's not charging at full speed (45W) but still fully charges the 60w battery in about 90 mins which is fine by me. Oddly this says 27w but my dell says it's charging at 30W.. go figure... Also charges my Moto Z play in about 30 mins, soon to huawei P20 Pro ;-)
I have one of these to fast charge my iPhone X. Works great
I only have a Type C to Type A cable so anyone recommend a C to C cable?
I take it this will charge Type A devices also with an appropriate cable which I already have?

it won't change USB-A as the connection is USB-C in the plug (UK 3-pin to USB-C).
what devices do you have that are USB-A?

I should have said micro or mini USB devices not Type A.
So phones and anything that I normally use a micro/mini to Type A cable with.
I presume if I use a Type A to micro cable it will charge?

Supposedly there have been instances of Switches bring bricked (after the recent firmware update) which have been traced to people using third party chargers on third party docks. The console draws a different amount of current from the amount it initially tells the charger and this may create a problem.

Thanks
Finding a decent cable to go with this can be a pain, most of the stuff on ebay is junk.

Bricks are from 3rd party docks, not charging the console.

Definitely don’t recommend using an over powered adapter to get a faster charger though, lower powered and slower charging is safer
Anyone use this to fast charge an iPad Pro?
Never mind all gone now and back to 19.99

no, the A connection is no longer there, the plug will only accept a cable with a c connection.

this is a better compatibility option to convert any USB-A cable to any other USB connection cable (C, Micro/ Mini etc)

For people asking, I'm going with this USB-C only cable: amazon.co.uk/gp/…h=1 for £7.

I'm hoping to use this to charge a Cube Mix Plus but won't be able to report back on it for nearly a week, in case someone is in a similar boat.
Will this super charge a Huawei P20 pro?

I think you misunderstood the question, unless I have misunderstood it myself! @Agharta was asking if this could be used to charge a device with a USB mini or USB micro connector, using a Type-C to mini/micro cable.

I don't know the answer, can anyone enlighten us?

I would assume that something as well specced as USB would be fully backwards compatible across connectors, but I'm just guessing.

Yes you can, that is the better option as the other method of getting a standard USB port will not charge USB C Power delivery. I have a USB C to Mini Adapter that I tried and works.

The article also states "This behavior, and the sorry state of Nintendo’s USB-C implementation (Nathan K’s article was written nearly a year ago, on May 29, 2017), have led many to conclude Nintendo’s USB-C implementation is at fault. That said, this issue doesn’t cleanly resemble earlier problems — mostly because in the past, devices might get stuck in a boot loop, but only until they were reset again. Now, some products are getting bricked permanently. And while Nintendo has apparently indicated they’ll service machines for affected individuals, provided your machine is under warranty, that probably doesn’t mean you’ll get your saved game data back. Some customers have been told to expect they’ll permanently lose whatever information was saved to their hardware."

I find it hard to believe that third party docks are the sole cause and most likely all those using third party docks would be for the same cost reasons using an additional third party charger leading to some bricking.

It supports power delivery. So it isn't a slow charger.
Great find Op..

Ampree is a great app to see how fast different chargers preform..
Excuse the ignorance but how's this different to my samsung s8 fast charger? It must be charging up quicker? 1 hour vs. 30 mins or something similar perhaps?
Be careful when purchasing your USB Type C cables. Lots of them are junk and will fry your phone/laptop.

For that , the other device needs to support Power Delivery 3.0. Most phones only support Quick Charge 3.0

Lots of phones support power delivery. No idea if it is most or not as I couldn't be bothered to take the time to look at most phones like you clearly did
