•Illuminate driveways, gardens patios and more with this super bright motion activated wireless Light by AURAGLOW
•The robust design makes it great for use on commercial properties, in warehouses and storage buildings
•Detects motion up to 25-Feet away - No wiring required - Suitable for Indoor and outdoor use
•2 Super Bright LED's stay lit for 20 seconds - Provides lighting for 100,000 hours - EQV 300 Lumens
•No plug-in cords required; Requires 4x D Batteries (Not Included) - 3800 activation's from one set of batteries! Dimensions: 110 x 90mm

The instant this advanced motion activated security light senses anything passing within a 25 foot radius of its sensors, it throws out a powerful beam of white light.

The light stays on as long as there is a presence in the beam, but automatically switches off 20 seconds after movement ceases.

The light runs on four D batteries (not included) and its super bright LED's are so energy-efficient they provide approx. 100,000 hours of life.

Thoughtfully designed by Auraglow, the light's base rotates 180 degrees, whilst the light itself pivots independently to ensure an accurate direction of light.

The intelligent light has a dusk till dawn or (daylight) sensor installed which means the light will only operate in darkness conserving the battery life throughout day light hours. Mounting bracket and fixings included, so there's no need to call an electrician - simply fix it yourself.

Probably both from the same factory (in China) with just different branding and a few tweaks.

Thanks. I live in France and its 19.99 euros on Amazon FR. Ive noticed that a lot since moving here that something can be say £99 in UK or 99 euros here which makes it about £80 a big difference.

Yes, c'mon, really, who bothers putting in a couple of minutes effort to save 9%? There are websites for people like you, Thetrout. One's called Hot UK Deals, so if you want to talk about saving money, I suggest you -- er, right, yes.

As soon as I saw the op's picture it reminded me of this!

He/she ordered 2, so saving of just over £7 over Amazon.

Lol looks like a cartoon character

I'd be a little anxious about droop with that much battery weight in it.

Haha I see a face

I ordered 2 of these just now from that Safield site. Postage £5.99 for next day delivery. So a bit cheaper than if buying same quantity through Amazon even though they offer free delivery albeit Amazon likely slower delivery as well.

If you are thinking of using the batteries in the security light, then it's best to get the Low Self Discharge (LSD) ones as they retain their charge for much longer compared to standard rechargeable batteries.

I'm looking for some decent D size batteries to go with the Auraglow light, and these appear to be very good (massive capacity too):

Unfortunately not - that's a unit price and you have to buy in twos, so that's £27.60 for two including VAT.

Pity the Lidl rechargeables have finished - I stocked up on AAs and AAAs.

Just realised that when I was about to place the order! I might buy a set of normal batteries first rather than splashing out on rechargeables - just in case I'm not happy with the Auraglow. Less money wasted that way.

Exactly so that would make it £55.20 just for the batteries for this thing as it takes 4 of the blighters!

I'm not even going to buy one now, even at the Flubit price i managed to get as it'll probably cost near on a tenner just get some decent non-rechargeable batteries and i can't justify paying that everytime the batteries run out.

Agreed. But if you're willing to change them more often (how often is the key!) you could consider using AA rechargeables with D adaptors.

We've got two of the Mr Beams lights, which are practically identical to these bar a rounder casing.

We purchase our disposable batteries from ASDA. They often have two packs of 4 x Duracell D batteries for £6-£8. I tend to only pick them u when on offer at 2 for £6. Works out at 75p per battery.

I'm still on the lookout for a reasonably priced battery charger that takes D size batteries and doesn't cost the earth or take days to charge the batteries. Also looking for rechargeable D batteries that don't cost a fortune. For the time being I'll stick to the disposable Duracell's from ASDA.

Thanks for the comparison to Mr Beams - I presume the light output/pattern is similar? Again I'd wait until the Lidl offer comes round again for a D-cell charger.
