Radio controlled to U.K. or Germany? I had to take back two clocks recently - even though the manufacturer stated it was not a fault. “The product was designed to tell German time...and it’s ‘only’ an hour out”.

I hope it's uk time as I'm going tomorrow to get a couple.
I have one, work flawlessly, bought from Lidl last year. By default the radio controlled is set to Germany (CET) but you can easily change it to UK. Just read the included manual of how to do it.

I have one bought at £6.99 and it's a great wee job. Highly recommended.

Mine only had a manual setting which would be overridden once it picks up the radio signal from Berlin. The U.K. versions are a different model number
I'm pleased with mine. I don't care where the radio signal comes from as long as it works, and it does.
Is that the humidity showing as 58?

No it's the seconds. I bought the next model up a few months back which was £7.99 and had the outside temp sensor. The humidity version with outdoor sensor I saw yesterday in Lidl's. I think it was either £14.99 or £15.99
surely they must have fixed the German time problem by now
I bought a Lidl radio controlled clock 3 years ago and ended up taking it apart to disconnect the radio receiver and
set the time manually
There were a lot of complaints online at the time

Kinda defeats the object of having a radio controlled clock though

I read those same comments and thought the same thing... but two purchases: a wall clock on Oct 2018 and a weather station in Feb 19 were still German time. The model numbers even stated they only Berlin signal

Got one last time... but cannot get it to display seconds... is this possible ?

I don't know why. The clock gets the time update from the German DCF77 signal. If you have set the time zone adjustment to +1 it will show the correct UK time.
Not sure as mine states in the manual it uses the MSF radio time signal which is UK based. It does periodically lose the signal where my other Oregon Scientific clocks don't. It does however display the correct BST time Zone so now I'm really confused.
Bought one today. Put the battery in and it didn't work. Took it upstairs and now it's working.

For anyone interested, Sainsbury's had a blaupunkt dab alarm clock priced at £35 on the shelves but they're scanning at £9. I got one a few days ago but not sure if still active. It got posted as a deal on here.

Noticed the clock had the initials DO on it and didn't realise what it was until changed to FR today. It's the day of the week and DO is Donnerstag in German. So you have to change the language, but it's easy to do.
Got one today. Much easier to set up than the one got last year. Time is GMT and it is a lot easier now to change between fahrenheit and celcius.

(I have an older model from a previous Lidl offer and I had to change the settings as it was following German time. )
Got two of these, no issues. Thanks!
