Beer as in lager?

Perlenbacher Festbier is a German Pilsener style beer

I believe it was a tongue in cheek comment.
Beer in the UK is traditionally an ale, as opposed to a lager.
99p a can is alright, not sure why anyone would pay more to have it in a larger can.

We knew that, someone needs to learn that lager, is also beer.

Why pay £11.99 for 5ltr when 10 x 500ml cans would be £9.90.....?

The 500ml 99p cans are for the Festbier only - not the Wheat Beer
Not the German sounding beer they sell made in France then??
The Festbeir is gorgeous. Highly recommended

The kegs look much nicer lined up on the kitchen bunker.

No these are made in Germany and if the normal Perlenbacher is anything to go by they should be pretty good to drink! You may be thinking of Lowenstein which is from Aldi and brewed in France.
Just drinking one right now, i'd give it a 7.8 out of 10. Nothing special but a solid beer.
