Aldi have been doing some genuinely decent non-food bits recently - these are pretty handy at a good price.

Thanks for sharing, heat added
Was keen but can’t go faster than 55mph has put me off.

I have had these for a few years. You can go over 55mph, no worries. They can carry 4 bikes without any issues. Easy to put on and quite durable. The only down side is that they make a noise at speed. I have just put duct tape to cover the slot and it is much better.

Thanks for feedback
Will they fit on closed rails ? Seat Ibiza st.
So I'm not sure how these work... I have a ford focus 09 with what looks like removable plates on the roof which are for attaching a roof rack. Could this go straight on to it?

Realy? Never knew about speed ratings with these🤤
Bought a set of these from Lidl the other week. Look identical. Easy to put on / take off. 120cm fit perfectly. Interestingly Lidl give a 3yr warranty though.

For the person asking, your car needs to have roof rails to attach these too.
A word of warning, these don't take T-bolts.
Does anyone know the model specific of these or is that not the case. From what i can see online these are Maypole Mway roof bars. im just wondering what model. IE RB 1025 / 1035 etc etc.

Edit : I think the 1025 are the T-Bar ones so im guessing its the 1035 (1.35m) /1030 (1.2m) variants.

Thanks

Looking at them in store. they look like the Maypole RB1040 and 1045 (for Raised integrated roof rails) so no good for me both the Lidl and Aldi deals have been raised rails.
Just to confirm these are for OPEN roof rails, when I saw them on Aldi’s website last week it didn’t mention it and had a pic of them on closed rails. They fit ok but not as sturdy as they would on open rails so gonna be returning mine

Good to know you can do more than 55mph with a bike on the top! 🏻
I have just lost my set of keys, those who have the roof bars. Can they check the key for a key code number so I can get some cut. Thanks
