I just noticed this on the Halfords website. Great price for this useful car cleaning product. There are better wheel sealants on the market but as an easy on, easy off product this is not bad. Available for home delivery and click & collect.

and it is in 3 for 2 offer so you can get 3 for £6

Good point.

Can you list the better ones please? I've never managed to find one that lasts really well and makes wheel cleaning easy.

cleanyourcar.co.uk is a good place to start. The Bilberry wheel cleaner is pretty good for getting the wheels clean, or the AutoGlym Wheel Cleaner is good but not PH neutral so it's quite abrasive (wear gloves when you apply it). As for sealants, Chemical Guys Wheel Guard lasts much longer than this spray on stuff but not as easy to apply and remove. The key is getting your wheels cleaned regularly. If I leave mine for a month before I clean them then they are much more difficult to clean as the brake dust and grime almost seems to get baked on.

Out of stock everywhere near me

nearest stock 130 miles from me !

Probably not worth the journey if I'm being honest.

150 mls for the nearest to me

There's an improved version of this just come out with a grey label which explains the discount. Good stuff and saves washing the cars every week.

Poorboys make one that is popular

ooss .

I've used the poor boys and it lasts years. However, I'm not sure I'd rate it. Since I picked up a cheap Simonez aerosol spray of sealant that performed alot better. The can doesn't last long thou

Planet Polish 'Wheel Seal & Shine' is fantastic stuff and lasts ages, gives a really good finish and it dead easy to apply.

hot if there was stock but 90 miles for me

If your after better stuff. A friend if mine makes his own. He been doing it for about 3 years now. nice little one man business and his products are amazing better than autoglym, mer etc. check out
tamzvehicledetailing.com/

He also on Facebook and ebay. You will be amazed at his prices and his no nonsense labels.

This one is very highly rated, but isn't cheap...

Yes I use this it's excellent

Think of it as as a thin clear varnish thats used on alloy wheels to help prevent them tarnishing from road dirt.
Anybody recommend a good body polish Im nearly out of autoglyms?

REVIEW: Previously I used wheel waxes which last for a good month and actually keep the alloy clean by preventing brake dust from staying on the alloy. Tried this on the last £3 sale and it only keeps the wheels clean for about 4-5 days and considering most wheels become dirty without protection in about the same time, I think its safe to say it doesn't do much. This is one of Autoglyms rare fails as usually their products are on top form!

Autosmart Wax - this is better than AG's HD wax!

also use armor all's wheel sealant as its better than AG's wheel sealant

a bit more cost wise but worth it

For me, the wheels look dirty as quickly but are *much* easier to clean. The effect seems to last ages too (months), but I'm doing quite low mileage at the moment.

You can only buy it online (as far as I'm aware) from Planet Polish's website : planetpolish.com It's a small bottle, but you only need a small amount on each wheel. I apply it to all four wheels then go around and buff it off. Great product.

For me this stuff last about 3 weeks. I do average mileage, maybe 200 miles a week? You still need to keep on top of cleaning your wheels on a regular basis.

Bilt Hamber Hydra dry, not cheap but wears well and you dont use much, so the tin will last a long time too

Poorboys Natty blue is a good wax. it smells like bubblegum and lasts a while. Collinite 476 is good if you want a really hard wearing wax.

gtechniq is good but still can't beat my m8 stuff like. being in to cars for years I've tried loads of stuff. His prices are a bargain compared. example his normal polish has more carnauba than the others. He also does the nano poly seal again better than the gtechniq.

plus his stuff is currently getting reviewed by a car mag. so no doubt coming months we will all see it on the high street.
