Polar Blast - Pre-wash Snow Foam
Polar Blast is a snow foam pre-wash that should be applied using a pressure washer. Covering the entire vehicle exterior with a magnificent blanket of foam ensures none of the surfaces are missed in the cleaning process. The foam clings to paintwork longer than regular shampoos to gently loosen and lift dirt. This reduces the risk of scratches and swirl marks that can be caused by a sponge or wash mitt when agitating heavy contamination on your paintwork. Its pH neutral formulation will not remove any existing layers of polish or wax.

Cheers mate all I gotta do is change career
Bilt Hamber auto foam for twice the price is an alternative but you get 5 litres. Alot of videos of tests and comparisons but if you are going to use alot of this stuff, it's worth bearing in mind the size of the bottles don't really matter as some require more or less ML per wash

That’s what I use mate it’s good, need to just adjust the top to make the foam a little thicker. If you’ve got the budget get the polar wash too as it’s also on offer
Anyone know of the karcher can be fitted to the aldi jet washers? Can't see the fitting end on the photos.
What’s the difference between snow foam and the other one?

Polar blast is just a pre-wash before attacking with a mit or sponge with the Polar Wash (reducing chances of damaging paint by dragging debris on the body).

Polar wash is the wash meant to be done after pre-wash. It can be agitated with a mit or sponge.

Both require snow foam lances for application

It appears that the polar blast is a pre wash snow foam which will take off a lot of the grime and traffic film. The polar wash will act as the suds after this pre wash to remove further dirt and potentially useful for the contact wash part of the overall car wash. How good it actually is, probably is another thing all together. Some of the autoglym stuff is decent from what I’ve heard. Other stuff, not so much.
Purchased 2 Weeks ago directly from Autoglym as they had a sale going on although they charged £4 delivery but I got a free Autoglym hand sanitizer and some free sample packs. Prices are about the same

Edit -- to add they got all versions of offer

So what is the correct order of doing things with the pressure washer?

No they don't, a £3 hand pump sprayer will do much the same job but without covering the world in fake snow and using less product. The chemicals do the job not the snow, snow is far more about the show than extra cleaning power but can stop the product drying out as quickly.

If you haven't already bought it and are desperate to make snow, spend a couple of quid more and get a proper one with the correct fitting.

well I suppose next would be a claying the car, then compound, then polish, then wax. Don’t forget to wash using 2 buckets and grit guards and buy filtered water, don’t be using that hard water from your garden tap. Plenty of ways to blow ur money just washing a car

So what is the correct order of doing things with the pressure washer?

Everyone has their own technique and method, first thing. I have also answered the question in my previous comment.

Generally apply this snow foam (Autogylm polar blast) onto the car and let it sit/drop off for a few minutes (varies as per product and outside conditions). Blast off with the pressure washer. Takes off a lot of the dirt, ideal for preserving paintwork and avoiding rubbing that in with your wash mitt. Then apply shampoo/soap (Autoglym Polar Wash?) etc for the body. That's the contact part of the wash. Use your wash mitt and then blast off with the pressure washer.

Results are worth it for some. Other find it more time effective doing it themselves also, rather than line up outside another car only to have someone use dirty wash mitts on your car's bodywork.

got a link to the demo?
Good price.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Bilt Hamber Autofoam (apparently does not foam as much as others, but does a really good job of pre-cleaning paint before shampooing).

I seem to remember Bilt Hamber (as someone said above), is twice the price, but I’ve got a feeling is much more concentrated, so actually works out less per use.

BTW, being Costco member I’ve also found the ‘Turtle Wax Wash and Wax’ they sell for about £16 (but it comes in a 25 litre container!) has worked well as a snow foam for me with my PA Lance, before I bought ‘proper’ snow foam ’😄

As regards advice on detailing, ‘Forensic Detailing’ Channel on Youtube chap has done some interesting comparison videos on Snow Foams and many other car detailing products and is a really good source of value for money product advice .

Also Darren Priest of ‘Auto Fetish Detailing‘ on Youtube is a good source of information, having been in the business as a detailer for many years in the USA. Some find his vids a bit long winded, but I like him, I also prefer his older vids.

If you fancy some Car Detailing ASMR try watching ‘Car Clean Guru‘, great vids of a Liverpudlian guy doing his very thorough car detailing daily job. Very relaxing and he’s got a great deadpan sense of humour. I love his soundtrack only detailing vids too!

Just my 2 cents as ‘DIY detailer‘.

Have fun cleaning!
Halfords have a turtle wax snow foam same price if you want to go and pick one up. Maybe not as good as auto glym?

Don't waste your time. They're a bunch of goons who don't know jack!

I took screenshots of a coffee machine for £215 but when you added it to basket it went up so £256. Out of the basket it went bell too £215. Tried to share the screenshots and the email they gave me kept bouncing. At the end I gave up as they couldn't do anything for me. Waste of time.
Another vote for Bill Hamber Auto Foam here. 5 litres can be had for £22.50 delivered on eBay, and sometimes can be had for slightly less if you shop around (I paid £20.95 delivered from a local detailer back in March).
1 inch in the bottom of a 1 litre lance, topped up with water, and it works a treat on the lowest water to snow foam mixture setting. Might not be as foamy as the likes of Magifoam, but works as well as any pre wash can be expected to work. Just ensure that you don’t leave it dwelling for too long, nor should you add too much to your lance.

I managed it in the end too, some of the advisors act like you are taking it directly from their pay, others just give it to you. Took me 3 chats to get it done.
