Well, that's embarrassing.

I ordered this the other day, but this was delivered instead : 41080776-jai7d.jpg

Yes you still need to wash the car, just don't use a sponge if you care about your paintwork lol. Order a proper microfibre mit and microfibre drying towel. Chamois leather is also a bit 20 years ago.

Autoglym do offer a snow foam, this is a sealant (a bit like wax) rather than something that cleans. I hate to tell you, but that snowfoam you've ordered is a bit pants tbh. Looks good, but doesn't really clean much. Bilt hamber is the best snow foam and is pretty cheap too.

The idea is you snowfoam to remove loose dirt, rinse, wash with a bucket and mit, rinse, wax/sealant, rinse, dry, done.

Important to remember this needs to be used no more than once a month (probably needs it every 6 weeks to 2 months). Just a waste of product if you apply every time you wash your car

All I can say is if your dont have a snow foam lance and don't want to spend the money on one, you can use a spray bottle. I can't remember the ratio, something like 50ml product to 300ml of water. Just spray it all over the car like a madman, then blast it off with a pressure washer.

Two different products my friend. Resin is a polish, this is just a seal, like a hydrophobic spray on wax
This is always £14.40 on trade at Halfords for when it goes back to full price here!

Sorry I should have been a bit more explicit, will it hide slight scratches like the resin does?

No it doesn't do any correction or filling just adds a little shine and protection.

Unfortunately not, like I say it's just a wax to protect the paint from UV ray, easier to wash dirt off etc
Good product, really easy to use and leaves a great shine and protection.
Is this worth using after autobrite snow foam
It's a drying aid.... Water just sheets off, but you still need to towel it - just makes it easier.
I recommend Bilt Hamber Auto-Wash. It causes beading, too.

Prewash - autobrite snow foam, wash - autoglym polar wash, sealant - autoglym polar seal. Brilliant 3 stage wash!

Stick with the super resin, it can be often found for 12£ for a litre on e bay

I was surprised recently when I was told after using the resin you should also use a wax to seal the resin.

A polish essentially is a very lightly abrasive compound that helps remove and fill very light scratches and dirt. Once its buffed off there is little or no protection left behind. Heavily waxed and silicon based products like these adhere themselves to paint work to help repel water and dirt. I have used AG super resin for years and as much as I like it, I dont consider it to be good enough as a main sealer for any real length of time. As much as I like cleaning my car, I dont really fancy a full panel polish every 2 weeks to keep the resin topped up. I have heard people say they are convinced a vigorous wash is enough to remove some of its protection! The beauty of this seal is how quickly it can be applied especially with a foam lance and to other house hold cars that dont get the full cleaning package! I am not sure this seal lasts much longer than a few weeks personally, especially in our rainy climates but I really love this product and it does survive many winter power wash washes! I use super resin and this together in battle: After being de-greased: clay bar, polar wash, dry, super resin, 2 coats of Navi wax nubawax.com/pro…wax (bit like autoglym HD wax). Then after the next wash use the polar seal. Polar seal reapplied every month. Navi usually every 3 months and a strip full recoat with resin every 6 months.

Maybe they mean on their toast in the mornings!
How would this fare against repelling dust? Seems almost magnetically attached to my car just after washing. The issue is our location is by a farm track so dust can blow from that, but would be good to find a product that makes the car a bit more resilient
Is this similar to the meguirs hybrid ceramic wax
Anyone tried that?
Can’t beat this stuff, easy to use and leaves a deep gloss on your motor. I buy it in 5L bottles for £40
I bought this yesterday, from Amazon:

5L of Pro-Kleen Cherry Snow Foam with Wax – Super Thick & Non-Caustic Foam – Extremely Powerful & Easy To Use (5L Cherry) amazon.co.uk/dp/…K6K

does the Autoglym one do the same, or is one for before and one after?

do you need to get the sponge out and put some elbow grease in? Sorrry for the questions I’ve got bad arthritis in my hands so looking for the easiest option!!

I take it you clean cars for a living or something? 1L used once a month (which is arguably still too often) will last someone 2 years. Not many products I have that will last that long lol.
Is it better than extra gloss? I dont like extra gloss because they said u wont see the rain drops marks but you can easily see the dirt after raining :/
Ordered thanks heat.
I use this stuff in my rinse off procedure mixed at about 10-1 in the pressure washer. 5L has lasted me years! valeterspride.co.uk/5l-…asp
Check out Bilt Hamber auto foam for pre wash. Strong stuff for £20 delivered and check out Fusso coat sealant for 12 months of protection. Has amazing hydrophobic beading. Only £21 for the classic formula which is what you want.

Do you really have to avoid the windscreen?
Get some Wolfgang sealant expensive but much better than this stuff
Stitch12313/06/2020 09:17

Do you really have to avoid the windscreen?

Just don't spray directly on to windscreen but it will run on to there when you rinse off anyway. I just go round with Fast Glass after to finish off the windows.
Stitch12313/06/2020 09:17

They say its so you don't smear your windscreen everytime you use the wipers. Although I purposely spray it on the windscreen as a rain repellent. Works far better than RainX and it doesn't really smear after a few wiper strokes.

Bilt hamber is a little expensive on Amazon, I usually get it from "in2detailing" but they're OOS atm. Might be able to get it direct from bilt hamber (around £21 delivered) or I'm sure there will be loads on ebay around that price. Trust me, the extra £5 is worth it for the bilt hamber stuff. I've never heard a bad word said about it (or the majority if BH stuff tbh. The only product they lack is a decent tar remover you can buy in a 5L tub).
