Went to Comet Tottenham. This TV dual tuner kit was marked down from £47.99 to £19.99. Considering this is £50+ online, thought was a good deal. Went to checkout & it scanned through at £2.99!!! No more in Tottenham but worth trying your local store. I expect stocks to be limited but worth a punt. Will post copy of receipt for the deal aethists.

I voted cold back then because you had to go outside in the air and the light if you were early enough and carry them to the checkout yourself. I didn't actually go myself but sent my butler and it was him that voted cold for me.

I'm fuming now at this stupid 'deal'.

Reading the product description, you could be mistaken for thinking you will be getting some hdtv action for a bargain price, so get off your high horses bitches, picky747 was only stating a fact not a personal opinion. Anyhoo, anybody used this tuner? Is it even worthy of just under 3 of our pounds?!

I can see where you got your nickname from

It probably explains the discount though. That they're not 'future-proof'.

Bargain if you can find one. I might start posting what I find in local charity shops

Cheap!! Hopefully nationwide!!

why wait till 9pm to post it? so a mug like me- who lives in tottenham can waste his time

Because I was working and didn't get home 'til after the shops had shut. Furthermore, why would posting it late cause you to waste your time? Like I have said in the deal description, I bought the last one in Tottenham!

I only mentioned HD because it is in the description and at it's original price of £47.99 you would expect it to receive HD,which it can,if you live elsewhere in europe but not in the UK

I had a aver DVB-T card dreafull never worked correctly no bda (or what ever drivers) so had to use their sw. Dreadfull not getting aver again.

@ picky747 please tell me were u can get a dvb-t2 card for £47.99? Mine cost over a £100.

This is not DVB-T2. The posted deal has twin tuners. Your one has one tuner.

Nope not dvb-t2 My point exactly. There are numerous usb DVB-T units … Nope not dvb-t2 My point exactly. There are numerous usb DVB-T units advertised as Freeview HD compliant and non are.The majority of people do not know about DVB-T and DVB-T2 and will purchase them expecting it to work in the UK when it won't.Below is the description for the above tuner from Tescos own website.Without the knowledge that you have you would buy this and be greatly disappointed. In future I won't bother pointing anything out that is blatantly wrong. From Tescos description:The AVerMedia 835 Pro PC TV stick allows you to watch, pause, record and rewind live Freeview TV in HD – on your PC. The AVerMedia PC TV stick has a concealed connecter to prevent damage and its compact design leaves complete access to adjacent USB ports. The Volar PC HD TV features scheduled recording, wake up recording from stand by, direct iPod/PSP format recording and digital text. It also features an electronic programme guide and digital subtitles. The portable high gain antenna constructs wide-angle signal reception to present you with a remarkable PC TV viewing experience. The Freeview PC TV stick supports H.264 and MPEG-2 formats up to 1080i and has MHEG-5 support. A remote control is included.

anyone else managed to get one? I went to my local comet and they said they've never heard of it.

Yes I'm sorry u r quite right and the spec is very misleading. It was just ur optomistic I would expect a card costing £47.99 to b dvb-t2. I wish as I could do with another one.
