Well I went, had a laugh, didn't quite go to plan but onwards and upwards (please)

And I made a matchday video

I'm a Liverpool supporter with a hubby and child who are Villa season ticket holders. I think it's great that Villa offer these deals that enable us to have a great family day out.

To anyone attending the (usually free) family fun day, it's worth noting that all activities will be £1 this week or £5 for the wristband for the kiddies with all proceeds going to Acorns. small price to pay, seen as they have it every match day, and even better that it's going to a great charity!
See you in the Holte end!!!

In the Championship next season when tickets for every game will be £15?

3 wins on the bounce, with four goals in our last game.

Sunderland, Leicester in a free fall and Hull, West Brom - and to a degree Everton - playing terrible football.

And you make that comment? God you're a fool.

Thanks for the comment reesycer, I don't know why you decided to take such an aggressive tone. I wasn't bitching, I just genuinely wanted to know why people thought this was a bad deal. You are the first thats tried to explain so thank you for that.

I personally play all the credit card companies and make a bit of money through them every year. Judging by your comment I think its more a case of people not being able to trust themselves using credit cards rather than the actual deal itself.

The very first thing I do with new credit cards is set up a direct debit for full payment so no fees are applied for missed payments or interest charged. I make every purchase through credit cards and accumulate cashback on my main one, usually about £10/month. I let the money build up and just used £300 for my PS4. A free console because i know how to use a credit card to my advantage.

On top of that I look out for deals like this, there's usually one or 2 quidco cashback deals I go for too. Not sure I'll share any credit card deals in the future though..

I appreciate not everyone wants a Villa kit, I was hoping the deal was voted cold because of that rather than the deal itself

or just buy the kit and save yourself 120 quid debt.

you come on a savings site, encourage people to get in £200 debt for a football kit and then bitch that people aren't singing your praises?
it's people that used credit cards this way that brought about the recession.

big club, shame about their support, smalltime

Well money has to be spent yes, but no one can go through life without … Well money has to be spent yes, but no one can go through life without spending any money. You spend money on the credit card that's going to be spent anyway, think of it as bonus points where you only need 200 points for a £55 item then just cancel the card.I know lots of people who have cards where you get 1% cashback, in this instance you get an item worth £55 that would ordinarily require £5000 + to be spent I don't know, maybe the down voters are thinking the £200 has to be spent in the villa shop or something? It's a bit sad how are game has gone and I am a little bit envious of how things are in Germany. But we don't have a league table any more, we have a money list. When was the last time Man Utd or Chelsea or Arsenal didn't finish in the top 4? I remember teams like Ipswich, QPR, Norwich and Watford getting top 3 finishes. How is that ever going to happen again? How are any of those big 3 ever going to be relegated? The fun used to be that given time, anything could happen. That's not true any more.

Lifelong villa fan, but they would have to pay me to go and watch them at the moment.

I watched them at swansea last week, i actually fell asleep. Absolutely woeful. Still at least ticket prices will go down next season when we are playing in the championship.

It's a rich man's game now isn't it. How did we get here? £47 for some tickets, and therefore £26 is hot?

They have to charge these prices to pay people £100k a week. but how come people need paying £100k a week, for doing something that 75% of the people watching would pay to do. At the risk of sounding like an old codger, I preferred it when the players were a bit like us, not kissing the badge today, and talking to their agent about a big money transfer tomorrow.

Rant over.
