I think you will find every Insurance have that sort of attitude when it comes to paying out. Must read all policy documents when a claim is denied.

£300 less than my renewal quote from my existing insurer (although they did bring it down to £98 when negotiating) before applying cashback so I'm not complaining,

Unfortunately, as Mujh states insurance companies will try to avoid paying if they think they a valid reason not to.

Damn I just did my renewal in dec

just quoted me £1010 for a small car not sure where they got this figure from???? don't know about Aviva.com more like Confused.com

Meh I got 6 sect points.

Got a quote which was double my current insurer, yes rip off.

Had hell with Zenith who ignored all evidence I sent them regarding an accident, and didn't answer phones within 60 minutes ever.
Swinton (a broker) sold me a policy a few weeks ago then called me trying to get me to insure my excess, legal cover pay more for a guaranteed courtesy car which was included in policy (salesman said not guaranteed, only if available) and other stuff. Then as I rarely work nights they tried to double my policy cost by claiming I live where I work.
These are the new bankers.

When will folks learn ! Go on a compare site (preferably 2 or 3) Then decide whether its a good deal .

quoted me 800 for my insurance even with the online discount and i have got 7 years no claims. and my current provider is quoting me 567.

Aviva quoted me £200 cheaper than my renewal with Churchill, so I thought Lemme protect my no claims and it went £30 cheaper Lollzz I really don't know how these insurance companies come to any figure

I also have 8 years NCD and my current insurer offering much less.

If you protect NCB you're seen as a better risk rather than someone who doesn't care if they lose it. Different insurers will take different views e.g the customer will expect the price to go up protecting NCB. They may also agree you're a better risk but are reacting to a customers expectation.

Every insurer has their view of the ideal customer e.g someone who can make them money so those that complain about the price....you're not it lol

I just find it weird that aviva save me extra £30 but Churchill charge me extra £150 to protect my ncb, I've been adding my old man as a second driver it saves me extra £300

Yup there are my quote is always around 900-1000 mark even with 10 years no claims but add my old man it drops to £695, still pricy but that's why I need to leave London to Bournemouth

no my friend, my mum died the day before travelling she was booked to travel they refused to honour claim ombudsman overturned aviva are heartless and do business with them at your peril

My Aviva quote is £500 cheaper than anywhere else, and im using an international license. Curious how you know the 30% discount was added? Also how do you go through quidco?

Just to add my experience. I used all the comparison sites, they gave me quotes around £400-£500 with really crappy small name insurers.

I tried aviva, and my quote came to £360! This could be because I was an existing Aviva customer (discount added automatically during quote). But I thought it was a bargain!

I was insuring a Volkswagen Up, with 1 year NCD, street parking, 5000 miles a year, and with a second driver with just a provisional license.
