AVIVA car insurance £50 cashback with Quidco

I am due to renew my car insurance end of August and looked for cheaper quotes online, tried a few comparisons website and direct quotes with insurance companies and got a good quote with Aviva, comparing like for like from my existing insurer renewalquote and it was £50 cheaper to start with.

I then checked Quidco for any insurance related deals (it does still track and work fine for me, I know some people complain it does not always do) and saw that they had a £50 cash back on Aviva car inssurance. I also got an email from Quidco for a £10 cashback if I ordered something through them before end of August. I do appreciate that not everyone will get the extra £10 cashback but worth a check if your car insurance is due for renewal.

The £50 is already showing as being tracked on my Quidco account. So hopefully overall I have saved £110 for exactly the sam car insurance cover.

p.s. I do not work or have anything to do with Aviva (or Quidco for that matter), I am just a random customer looking for a good deal out there and wanted to share in case anyone else can benefit.

I have used both Quidco and TCB to get cashback from Aviva on both car and house insurance.
Have got cashback for @4 years by not renewing but starting a policy the day my old policy expired.
The new quote has been lower than the renewal price as well.

For everybody else it’s £60 on topcashback
I've seen the £28 gocompare cashback tracked too if you retrieve the aviva quote through them then purchase through the Aviva link.
I did the same a year ago and can confirm that I received the cash back within a few months, I added another car on that Aviva policy for a further discount for a second vehicle too... it's very easy to use their online portal to add or replace vehicles too and only been a few quid difference on new cars I've added without any silly admin fees
Ive had Aviva car insurance in the past, I had 9 years no claims when I joined them and only 5 years when I left. There max no claims is 5 years I had to go back to my previous insurer to prove I had 9 years no claims when opening new policy.
I got this £50 cashback deal through Quidco last week.
My aviva car insurance renewal came in at £60 more expensive than taking out a brand new policy through them and the cashback tracked within minutes.
It just shows how they rip people off who just have a continuous direct debit and auto renew.

My renewal documents from Aviva said '14 Years or more no claims bonus'
Just be careful with Aviva for two reasons:
1. Maximum No Claims Bonus of 5 years when I left them, even though I had 7 years when I joined. I complained and I was told it was their maximum (I suppose they do it to incentivise you to stay). Luckily I went to a broker and they honoured my 'real' NCB when I sent copies of my Aviva renewal and the the one from my previous insurer.
2. Continuous Credit Card renewal - they renewed mine even though I cancelled the policy. I had to prove I'd taken out insurance with an alternative insurer in force at the time of my Aviva renewal before they'd refund me.
Shame I'm already with Aviva..! Good spot though
have Aviva home insurance so no cashback for me

but the quote is much cheaper than my LV renewal , thanks op !
How do cashback sites work? I've always been sceptical because I've always wondered how they make their money to give you the cash back on what you were going to spend on anyway
How it works: Commission is paid for getting customers directed to websites and/or make purchases.
if quidco offer 5% then they will earn say 8% and pocket the difference, you really think cashback sites are doing it for customers?

google make pennies every time you use their search to go to a webpage,

just remember with these cashback deals it may be cheaper to go direct to the site rather than via a cashback site
Last week we just took out pet insurance £5.60 a month, for the same policy via quidco it was £6.70 a month with £35 cashback
Don't they do a credit check every time you take a quote?
Cashback with Aviva much better than direct line. Really easy and paid within a month. Were the cheapest for my car by a significant distance!

You can still get cashback as a new car insurance customer.
I have had both car and house insurance cashback from Quidco/TCB.
Re Quidco should I do it on the laptop or will it work/track just as well on iPads?
