Saw this morning, quoted me £320 when my renewal is £170!

You go on the comparison sites, and get a decent price. But to get Quidco/TCB you need to go via the providers site - and then the quotes are about double!

Thanks OP !

I got notification of this offer, but sadly I'm with Aviva!
I like Aviva, so definitely worth considering.
Heat added.

Agree you definitely pay for your own cashback.

I need to renew. Quotemehapppy (an Aviva company) is only £20 more on confused.com than going to Aviva direct (from tcb/Quidco), but comes with protected no claims (£57 extra at Aviva) upgraded courtesy car, and all the 'optional extras' at Aviva alongside an excess that's half of their parent company!! So for £20 more annually I gain around £200 in value if I was to make Aviva like for like.

Good work!

I do not have a car policy with Aruba but another policy with them. When I quote for car it gives me an existing customer discount. Will I get Quidco as well. ?

Insurance often costs more via the cashback sites rather than direct. I had similar experience, but the quote via the cashback site was increased by £1 less than the cashback amount.

I suspect the quote will be raised, to clawback the existing-customer discount.

Same company same call handlers same underwriters and claim handlers. Same sales dept. What's a 🌟 difference?

Got to say I took out a car policy with Aviva this morning, then I saw this offer. Went through Quidco and my quote was £3.00 cheaper.
So cancelled the original policy and re-applied with this.
Forgot to add THANKS OP.....

Does your quidco tracked £95 as stated

Got a quote from them on Sunday. Then checked Quidco who were offering £60 cashback at the time - so went through the process again via them on Monday, only to get a quote of £80 more!

will they pay cashback, if I retrieve the existing quote and buy the insurance via quidco ?

You can save quote and then return through Quidco. I was with Aviva but this year with halifax (same premium), so will switch back to Aviva with cashback again this year

For the new quote via quido cashback gone up by £200. It's not worth using cashback...

One of the conditions to qualify for cashback is it must be a new quote. If you retrieve an old quote it invalidates the cashback and it won't be paid.

No they won't. They only pay the cashback if you take the more expensive quote.

Thanks for this, really appreciate it!

My car insurance is up for renewal in 3 weeks and had checked the comparison websites but got really bad quotes for some reason. I checked Aviva and they were slightly cheaper and offered european breakdown at a decent price and got this cashback.

At the end of the day worked out for me, so thank you!

EDIT: Just checked on a different computer and didn't go through Quidco to see the difference in premium and turns out it was £5 cheaper so there is definitely a difference in price goignt hrough quidco, and I am guessing it varies depending on the driver.

I've been with Aviva for the last 6-7 years. Every year without fail they have been the cheapest, on one occasion half the price of the next most competitive. I've even had renewals from them that are cheaper than a new customer quote (not always). When I've gone through cashback it has always been paid.

I've also had the misfortune to have a vehicle written off, they gave me about 25% more than the market value of it. They also use UK call centres, and allow you to amend the policy online for free.

Also worth noting this is a company that pays the living wage.

Always check them but always find them very expensive myself, post office is guaranteeing to underquote your renewal by £50 at the moment if you're over 50 zo might be worth checking

£235 for a 2017 SLC. If the Cashback works that’s £140 Bargain!
Thanks 🕺🏼

"Ways to earn cashback: no cashback available" at time of this post Thurs 30 Nov 2017.

Just watch yourself they're a nasty company for cancelling policies for no reason without telling you.

Did it to me they then back dated the cancellation made it look like I'd been driving uninsured for SIX WEEKS.

Immediately sorted with Admiral but they're really bad for that apparently

Try it and report back. When I did mine it specifically said you could not use a saved quote.
