AVP Hyperion EV33W White M-ATX Cube Case - £22 (+£2.39 Del) @ Novatech

(4% TCB Available) For quite a while, I've been looking for a reasonably priced, half-decent compact PC case which:

1. Can comfortably fit a Micro-ATX motherboard, AND a full-size ATX PSU, AND a Full-Length Graphics Card
2. (Optionally) Have an external USB 3.0 port, space for an optical drive, decent airflow, radiator mounting and decent cable management

This is the first case I've found which seems to do all of the above, and as a bonus is split into chambers (Left has MB/CPU/GPU, and right houses HD, PSU, optical)

Hope it's of use to someone else as well

Nice looking case and specs look decent too. Thanks for sharing.

You can't go wrong buying from Novatech.

Only 1 x 3.5 and 1 x 2.5 or would have gone for it.
Heat added for those who'd benefit

Agreed "You can't go wrong buying from Novatech" nice case would buy if it met my current requirement.
heat added OP

must.... resist.... urge .. urgggghhh...

I just got a cm elite 110 to build a small gaming pc that I can transport around to friends houses easily using my old 3570k.
this looks nice in white..

Nice spotting OP. thank you---> Heat added for sure;) I also agree with Novatech being a solid buy anytime:D

This is a bit of a bigger case mate, I'd stick with the coolermaster

if any one has one can they confirm that it takes a normal sized optical drive (5.25")
thanks

Seems to be the average price at a few (admittedly less reputed) places. No reviews online that I can see put me off a bit though.

Edit: I think it might be a novatech-branded case.

The pics certainly seem to suggest it does, but the spec sheet says 1 x 5.25" external... Which makes no sense because you could use an external drive on any PC! Read the one review though. Poster says that the PSU might hit the back of the optical drive if too long. So I reckon it will take a 5.25" internal drive OK.

Description above says it takes standard size ATX MB's but the spec on the website says it only takes Micro ATX boards. Can someone please confirm which is correct. Thanks

I have a AVP viper case and it's great value to be fair. 2 fans, USB 3. :-)

Epic Win

Yes thank you OP - love why you think this is a good deal. Helped me sway my mind - boom!

Indeed i checked the measurements after I posted that. Still would have been nice to use my full sized graphics card that I have spare but still. xD

I think that by external they just mean there is a cut out /door for the cd drive tray to eject from which is what you can see at the bottom right of the case.

Try the core v21 costs £50 but its very modular and similar design, I plan on having 9 fans in it

You're correct, external bays are what can be accessed from our of the case. Yes it would fit a standard DVD/bluray drive.

For OP: Silverstone's SG9/10 (just 22L! as small as most mITX cases) and FT03 are also quite small mATX cases with all the support you need. The SG9/10 support SLI/CF quite well for mATX due to the rear fans.

seems like a cheaper version of the corsair carbide air 240.......albeit with a space for an optical drive.

I know about those cases and I agree they are nice and satisfy most of my requirements. Unfortunately, they all cost over £70 and this is less than £25 delivered

Not quite as nice looking as the carbide 240 but a lot cheaper and (like you say) it has space for an optical drive if you need it

Repeating what others have said; attractive wee case that's well-appointed from an expansion point of view. Novatech are good guys too. Would like to buy it if I needed one right now.

Just disappointed they aren't in Sheffield any more

Thanks OP, ordered although I don't really need it as such!

Great service from Novatech - ordered early yesterday morning, got a text today to say it will be delivered today. Only paid standard delivery too!

What was it like? ( deal has come up again)

Nice case - not much depth for optical drive due to PSU and even without optical drive, not really room for bigger PSU's
