Not quite sure how I managed it, but I've been patiently waiting for this to drop in price again! (Last time was 4 months ago).
Works out 68p a can. Most American shops sell them for £1.50 each...

well done i waited 8 mths
Does it taste like real beer? Is ot alcohol free?
Nope nothing like beer. It tastes medicinal, sort of like Dr. Pepper. If you've ever used Euthymol toothpaste, or had wintergreen chewing gum... it tastes like that
"Common flavorings are vanilla, wintergreen, cherry tree bark, licorice root, sarsaparilla root, nutmeg, acacia, anise, molasses, cinnamon, clove, and honey."

Be aware that this is the subscribe and save price.

Nice find - heat added.
I love A&W, even have a t-shirt! lush with vanilla icecream in it. I buy my root beer from Asda though, they do a 6x330ml pack for less than 2 quid. Voting hot as this is cheaper than the ridiculously over priced American candy store prices. As an aside, why are they springing up in a recession, just curious x

Hi, it tastes like germaline smells (Does that make sense, LOL).
I think it's a marmite moment (Either love it or hate it). We all love it in our house!
Subscribed to the offer and heat added. This is the best drink in the world, the only other time I get this cheaper is when we do shows on the Yank airbases. Try slow cooking ribs in it as well nomnomnomnom
Lovely stuff but still expensive, I drink the Asda stuff, not as good but ok
Had an amazon voucher, so treated myself to a case! Great deal

Exactly! This is the cheapest I've personally ever seen it per can.
Makes me wonder why I bother posting at times. I avoid voting on something like car deals because I haven't got the least bit of care for them. But now ignorance will make the ones who genuinely like root beer miss out.

As for the Asda one, it's alright, around 4/10. It's too carbonated and doesn't have that same vanilla texture the American ones have. Also, high fructose corn syrup > sweeteners X)

Why on earth is this cold? even the non subscription price of 9.04 with free delivery is amazing, cheapest we can get this in essex is £14 a crate!

Cheers O.P

It is a great price for the world's best Root beer good find OP. Have you tried Frank's alcoholic Root Beer stocked at BnM Bargains? Nicer than the Asda fizz if you're a purist. Personally I desecrate my root beer with ice cream and fizz means froth

It's unfortunately a downside of this site. People will vote cold because they personally don't like it/they've never tried it and think "hurr durr coke is 25p a can in Iceland". Ignorantly forgetting there's is actually people who do like root beer, something which is stupidly hard to find in this country for a good price - I'd get 5 cans for this amount in Cardiff.
The problem then is once something goes into the minus, the sheep mentality is to keep voting it colder. Voting should be based on how cheap something is compared to elsewhere, regardless of what you think of the product (within reason). I hate Apple for instance but if it's a good deal I'll give it heat...

I really wouldn't mind if they bothered to explain WHY and link me to a cheaper imported root beer but they haven't bothered. So now fans of the drink will miss out, but I guess it means it'll stay this price for longer X)

This has happened to two deals I've posted over the past week - cheaper than it's been in the past but went freezing, Whereas the ones previous almost got to the front page.

Yep, it's pretty good but tastes too much like liqourice for my liking. Definitely couldn't handle more than one bottle of it as it's quite sickly! Made in Sweden by Kopparberg so definitely a bargain

My favourite is Bundaberg root beer, Waitrose do it.
Not cheap though, this is a good deal.
the only thing i click through on Amazon and I have been sent an email by Amazon telling me there is a phising scam attatched to this link and now i have got to re-set all my password, great.
The only thing in the link is the Hotukdeals referral, so definitely won't be from clicking the link...
Mamboboy - Don't let the heat worry you too much, it's the fact that its a pretty niche product and you can drink puddle water for free. I've posted cracking deals before now that get voted cold, bikes are normally bad for it.

Just be pleased that quite a few people here, me included, have purchased this and are glad you posted.

Much much cheaper than the shop that sells in the town next to mine, they were charging £1.50 a can !! Bundaberg is good too but quite expensive. Definitely recommend putting some Ice cream with them to make a float they are Delicious and fingers crossed it will arrive in time for the Super bowl
