Terrible is an overstatement. There is nothing wrong with it but you definitely will be missing out on features.

Actually makes perfect sense considering an X processor is basically already overclocked.
Good deal, although I’m not too sure how future proof the RX580 4GB Graphics Card will be.
Showing OOS
Entry level PC more than acceptable at this price.

No, it means its usually a better die.....all AMD is unlocked so not being able to overclock a better bit of silicon is even more stupid than a non X

It's a Zen+ CPU with better single threaded performance than the 2600, believe it or not. OEM only.
I love comments on here....if you look at previous comments what a similar and small amount of companies posts they post on....CCL, itzoo,Ebuyer......weird.

Dont buy this, its not any decent place to start. Motherboard is outdated, graphics is awful and is actually a cutback card playing on the 580 name. The 2300 is just not worth it for anything but a media/internet pc

Not according to everything I've read on the subject. Most reviews recommend buying the non-X variant because they can be overclocked just as well so you might as well save the money. Like this, for example: techspot.com/art…00/

I have no experience with the 2300x but I do with the 1200. Without looking I assume the 2300x is faster than the 1200? I built a cheap starting PC for a friend a few months ago. £50 1200 and a second hand 1060. It's handling the likes of Dark Souls 3, COD MW 2019, Forza at 60FPS 1080p. So it's worth it for games I say. It's no 2600 or 3600 but it's harsh to say it's only worth it for media and internet.
This company is less than a mile from my house and I only saw it for the first time last week. Their prices look quite competitive and if you aren't happy with the spec of the above machine then they will put you something else in.

£500 is quite a tight budget these days. Something like this would be decent option I reckon and only £90 over budget cclonline.com/pc/…55b

Here is a page that tells you roughly what games he could play using the graphics card in the one I linked to game-debate.com/har…8GB

It also comes with a couple of games worth about £25 each, and an Xbox 3 month game pass worth about £20 also, so the extra £90 would be worth it. It doesn't come with Windows, but my mate's next door neighbour's dog said something about getting Windows 10 on a popular second hand website for a few quid...

One thing to note - this doesn't come with a wi-fi adapter included, so if he doesn't connect straight to the internet via ethernet cable you'll need to add one. It also comes with a fairly low amount of storage, so you might want to add a HDD. Last thing to consider would be upgrading the graphics card to a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6GB for £22. You can add all of these things by clicking 'customise this pc'.

I'm not a CCL fanboy btw, it's just the first one I looked at and has a decent processor, graphics card and memory, so check out other places like Cyberpower, Aria, PC Specialist, Novatech, Overclockers etc. in the same price range and see if you can get the same spec or better for less.
