My current insurance was not due till march but managed to cancel without and panelties. Quidco cash back of £95 so £13 for the year.

I have been a quidco member since 2006. So far I have earned over £2800 in cashback. I have my bank account detail saved and also few credit card numbers registered with them for in-store cashbacks. I was like you bit reluctant initially giving my bank account details and gave them my student bank account detail. But never had any issues. Millions are members and I cannot recommend quidco high enough. Go ahead and register I am sure you would be fine. I think you can register with your paypal account. They donot send cheques for your cashbacks.

I'd be more than happy for you to enter my bank details if you're worried about entering yours.

Me too. They pay sometimes bit more but CS no where near Quidcos. I had couple of missing cashbacks with quidco that became successful last October but did not get paid. So had a chat with one of the CS agents and Quidco paid me the money even before they get it from the companies responsible. Quidco is superb!!!
    Yes quidco forget tcb
Was this for a house ? I tried them a few years ago for flat cover and they said no flat coverage. Maybe theyve changed policy?
I have this insurance. The cashback would be good and you can Still offset it against tax. If you pay it!
Just renewed last month with simple landlords insurance. Gutted.

depends on postcode should be on title. Every area is different
Quidco and TCB used to be really good at tracking a few years ago, nowadays I'm only getting around 50% track so cash back claims on the other 50%, if you don't mind the extra work go for it (They hope you forget about it)

Just to add I don't think it's Q/TCB fault just companies getting greedy and wise to it, the old days you could "earn" £60 on home Insurance!!

Quidco tops anyday .... I am currently tracking £4750 since I have been a member.

CS always gets the things sorted and tracking works almost every time.

TCB is a hit and miss.

Axa told me to get a renewal elsewhere because a claim had been made on liability insurance.
Nice if it was that price for everyone dependant on property value, postcode, tenant type, flood history etc etc. Good deal on the cashback though.
    Technical error on their site.
    Excellent deal though.
    Great deal

lost £400 through tcb not tracking and refusing to pay out
Does this cover stuff like broken boilers?
No this will cover damage to the property from the tenant.
I currently use Direct Line which costs me about £6 per month. I might go for this for another property I own though as for at least the first year can't imagine getting this cheaper.
I actually switched to TCB after Quidco refused a couple of genuine cashback. Not had any issues with TCB.

Does landlord insurance apply if you're a live-in landlord with a lodger?

Home Emergency is usually something extra which you can add (seems to be around £50 mark) onto the landlord policy, and some do include basic boiler cover.

For proper boiler cover, have a look at some of the offerings from British Gas:

One thing you might want to consider is getting boiler cover with British Gas but I'm sure they will charge more for a tenanted property. However you could always just tell them you live there and if you're happy to attend when they do then they would be none the wiser.
Everyone complaining that not same price for everyone - what do you expect the poster to do, check everyones for them!

The point is the £95 is extremely good amount of cashback!

    Quit moaning, start thanking!

whats the rebuild value u have insured for?

That would be for buildings insurance not landlord insurance?
Jimmy boy. Landlord insurance is building cover + loss if rent + property owners liability. Standard cover will be for professional tenants only (working tenants) non standard cover will be for student let's, DSS lets and vacant properties which AXA will not do. Thats with my insurance head on for a Sunday.

No you would have standard house insurance however you must tell them you have a lodger. They may exclude theft cover except for forcible and violent entry.
What landlord emergency cover do people have? Boiler cover etc?

Can I ask what additional options you took out? Would legal expenses be worth taking out as well?
