Or a used Clavinova. I have a CLP-920 which is 16 years old now, but has a great feel and still sounds amazing. Can pick them up for silly money.
I'm a professional pianist- I recently bought a second hand Yamaha P105 for around £250 and it's absolutely amazing. Technology has really moved on in the last few years with digital pianos.
I have a friend who had money burning in his pocket, and he was desperate to spend around £1500 on the best digital piano money could buy. After spending an afternoon in a piano showroom trying all the digital pianos, he ended up buying a second hand Yamaha P115 for around £300 and is chuffed to bits with it. He was completely happy to have spent all that money on any keyboard!
I've owned a couple of Clavinovas, and think these new Yamaha P series keyboards blow them away in terms of sound, feel and sensitivity.

Those prices are with a normal X-shaped keyboard stand- the beauty of these keyboards are that they are very light and can be carried under one arm to gigs, or stowed away. If you spend a tad more though, you can get them with the Clavinova-style bases.
