Coconut oil is fantastic for hair, don't knock it till you've tried it.

On the shelves.

Never seen these in my Morrisons. I'd assume these are at the beauty section: I have the Castor Oil by this brand, but it was bought in a chemist.

Those who know about the Oil Cleansing Method will be interested in this (me, anyway)!

Actually, from the picture and the jars surrounding the Ayuuri bottles, it looks like it's in a foody section, oops.

These are located in the skincare section, in my store next to the make up section

My chemist sells Castor Oil in those generic brown bottles (branded "Care") which are definitely cheaper than £2.99. The one in the city centre near me sells Ayuuri for the same price, though.

Just in case anyone's curious. wellnessmama.com/756…in/

I use Castor Oil with the Poundland (!) knockoff of Bio Oil: Rescue Oil, 1:3. I massage the oil into my skin for a few minutes, till it feels "gritty", then wash off with steamy water for a while. That's the most bargain basement way of doing it :P Helps to unclog congested pores, though at first you may have a breakout whilst you adjust to it.

I cut up Tesco Everyday Value microfibre cloths for my face and keep them in a drawer in the bathroom. My skin likes Dove soap, so I continue using that day-to-day, instead of expensive cleansers.

Do you do the OCM everyday, I tried it last year and it broke my skin out really badly that I had to get acne cream prescribed from the doctors (never suffered from acne before). The first week my skin was glowing and then I started getting bumps all over my forehead which then got worse, kept at at for 3 months as I read that my skin might be purging but it just didn't get any better so stopped and luckily my skin cleared up after I used acne cream.

I was very zitty as a teenager and in my 20s. I'm now a bit older and my skin calmed down over time. I do use Retin-A some nights so maybe that helps my skin going crazy, but I never had a really bad reaction to OCM.

I have seen some people get along great with it, others such as yourself didn't, so it's definitely not for everyone. There's no way I could say that what works for my skin will work for everybody, sadly, we just have to figure out what works.

I also have a Lightstim which probably helps hold back on the zits too, and I do use that pretty religiously, every two nights, but my skin is definitely much calmer without much intervention (when I have periods of not using it or Retin-A), than it was.

I have periods where I forget all about OCM (I always do it before washing my hair as it can make your hair greasy!!) but I try to do it at least once a week. Every day would be too much for my skin, I think!

The goal for me is to keep my pores clear and uncongested. With active acne I don't know if it's a good idea, but skincaretalk and Essentialdayspa have long discussions about OCM.

Here's a pretty long thread: essentialdayspa.com/for…024

I find Skincaretalk forum can be less informative with more empty gossipy chatter on there, than EDS.

Hmmmm, not too sure about that...my flaxseed bottle only mentions moisturising skin and nothing about cooking
