I was in my local (Newtownabbey) B & M store and saw these reduced to £2 from £4.99. Went to post on here and found it's online as well!
Worth mentioning that a few of their RAC branded items have been reduced as well!

Bought these when they have been reduced previously - great price.
Great price for a rubbish product but it'll keep you legal in countries which demand that you carry spare bulbs.

yep thats the right word legal and if it gets you out of a problem just once well worth it,obviously gonna get some comments like it would be no good for the rac rally or something like that
Doubt any of those would fit a Japanese car from the past 20 years...definitely not Toyotas.

Cheap enough though if they suit your car.

My car failed its MOT because one of the headlight beams wasn't correct (cheap bulb off Ebay) not saying these won't be ok but I learnt my lesson.................Buy cheap buy twice and all that.

Can't see why these would be rubbish though as they must have gone through UK quality control and are backed by the RAC so surely they should be ok?

Was that due to the bulb or the headlight body being out of adjustment??

You'd like to think so but the once-respected RAC has licensed their brand to be slapped on all sorts of tat. Sad really. I'm no great fan of the AA branded merchandise either but at least they appear to have maintained some sort of quality control when they license their brand.

I doubt there's anyone within CVC (the RAC's latest owners) with any interest in bulbs except for monitoing the income from the brand license they sold!

From Wiki:
RAC Limited (The RAC) is a British automotive services company headquartered in Walsall, West Midlands. Its principal services are roadside assistance and general insurance, and its subsidiaries include RAC Motoring Services Ltd, RAC Financial Services Ltd and RAC Insurance Limited.

The RAC emerged as the "Associate Section" of the Royal Automobile Club founded at the turn of the 20th century, and it was incorporated as R.A.C. Motoring Services Ltd. in 1978. It was sold by the members of the Royal Automobile Club to Lex Service Plc in April 1999, which subsequently renamed itself RAC Plc. In March 2005, RAC Plc was acquired by Aviva, and therefore delisted.

Aviva then sold the RAC to the Carlyle Group in June 2011. Although Carlyle had originally planned a stock market flotation for the RAC,[3] in September 2014, Carlyle agreed to sell almost half its stake to Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC Private Limited.[4]

In December 2015, Carlyle agreed to sell its remaining stake to CVC Capital Partners in a transaction valuing the RAC at £1.4 billion.

CVC Capital Partners is a private equity firm with approximately US$80 billion in secured commitments across European and Asian private equity, credit and growth funds. In total, the CVC Group manages over US$52 billion of assets. Since 1981, CVC has completed over 300 investments across a wide range of industries and countries. CVC was founded in 1981 and today has over 400 employees working across its network of 24 offices throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.
