darn - was the n95 that was rated really highly ???? oops.

still - got an alright score from cnet : ]http//re…htm

totally useless slow phone, don't waste your time

If you had brought the n96 on contract on voda or orange it would have been hacked by their techs*

never ever ever buy a nokia from voda because of the extensive modifications it makes to the symbiam software once was enough for me.

* They disabled the voip features of the phone

this is reason why i still have e51 :)) voip calling

great phone ive had mine 2 years + run multiple apps unlike iphone n great camera too.

I tried voda's firmware and nokia official releases and always found the phone slow and unreliable. Poor battery life as well.

Still using mine after 2 yrs. Great handset and although it was slow originally - download the latest firmware and it makes a hell of a difference.

So does it beat the N95 8gb or not?

Can I transfer my nokia sat nav licence?

The n95 had better hardware but I think the n96 is a better phone. As for transferring the license speak to Nokia. I have an e75 which again is a nice phone ...

No, never... i have used both of these n95 8GB and n96.. n95 8gb is far more better .... using n96 didnt work out for me so i sold it

Great Phone with internet radio, Had mine 2 yrs now with no problems

H & R added:thumbsup:

In what way was the N96 worse?

(my baby has dribbled in to my N95 and the menu key has stopped working but I reckon I might still get away with trading it in for 120 with the we buy your phone type companies and replacing with a 140 quid N96 seems to be a reasonable option if the N96 is any good)

Ugliest, tackiest, most cheap looking phone ever.

I wouldn't buy tatty second-hand gear, and Expansys are not my favourite retailer after they messed me about in the past, but as for the phone itself, a friend has one he acquired from his brother recently, he updated the firware on it, runs stable enough now; it runs Garmin GPS software great, he is using a 3rd party VOIP application on it, with reasonable success, it is fine for web browsing, there are a stack of Symbian applications around for it, and I was personally reasonably impressed, the accessories are dirt cheap (an extra charger cost less than 2 quid!) and batteries are dirt cheap too.

n95 8gb has 3d game chip
