Would this improve my wi-fi coverage?

Great price! I don’t have the exact model. Have the POF 1400. Think only difference is a slightly more powerful motor. Has been great so far on many different jobs on my camper conversion! Typical Bosch quality!

Yes, it should increase WiFi coverage, but the main feature is that it doesn't need external power supply if you have fibre internet, since it is a POF 1200 model (power over fibre) so it is powered via a telephone socket.

You forgot to mention it has an accelerator switch which instantly allows you to go from standard broadband to fibre broadband without any extra charge!

Should I get 1 for all house or 1 to each room?
Does it use megabits or gigabits? I am not sure if the bits are backwards compatible.
I should get one

The 1400 also has the '0.1mm, routing depth fine adjustment'

How does it compare to THIS?
Looking to use it for simple DIY projects once in a while.

AE chip, stands for "auto exposure". Communicates with WIFI devices and supports auto mode of the device - either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. It always syncs at the fastest supported mode.
Some people wrongly assume it is AES model (with Advanced Encryption Standard support) but it is not. So if you care about the security, get something else.

It depends what diy projects you want it for. The other one is a trim router so used for light cutting, edge detail, perhaps small dados & rebates. This one will do all that but has the benefit of more power and a plunge base which makes it a lot more versatile and will do everything you could ask of a router. If you want to do heavy cuts though, eg worktops you would do well to do many shallow passes instead of trying to remove too much material as the router isn't particularly powerful.
