BA are currently running a Business/ First sale that includes some companion fares for various periods. The fare above is for two passengers, Business Class from LHR to SEZ, 5/9/20 ret 13/9/20. There are various other destinations reduced for different dates. I have flown this route. It is a 10 hour direct flight. Night flight on the way out and day flight back. If you book it as part of a BA holiday the deposit is about £300

In the past two years I have flown Business Class with Qatar, Emirates, BA and Etihad. That list in order of how I rated them. The BA flight to SEZ was very good, the only reason I rated it lower is it still had the old Business Class seat/bed with limited storage. That said, NONE of the others was £2000 better

This is a good deal, I fear it may not get the heat it deserves as people will ask why Business Class etc etc. But if you compare this to a standard business class fare for ONE person it's an excellent price.

Hopefully people vote for the saving, not for the concept of flying with BA and/or Business Class. Both of which I love.

I may have had an unlucky day but the service on the Etihad flight was truly dire and the AUH lounge was overcrowded.
Great price for this route, thanks OP. I did this last September and thought it was excellent, they use the Boeing 787 - 900 on this route and the plane was only about 2 years old. They ran out of champagne in Club world on the way home so the cabin crew got the LP le grande Siecle from first class that was great sadly it rained nearly every day in the Seychelles but it was still stunning, I recommend the isle of La Digue, Anse source de Argent beach is just stunning!
Blimy - I could get a weekend at Centerparcs for that kind of money!
Don’t forget the thieving lot will charge you an extra £100 each for sitting together unless you have both have silver or above executive club or you can wait until you check in. £2500 for a ticket or even more and treated like a budget airline. Good price for what it is but much better airlines out there.
I guess it's a reasonable price for two people travelling business class, but for that price you could pay for the whole holiday in a luxury hotel in the Seycelles, if your willing to slum it in Economy.
Fly a quality airline like Emirates or Qatar Airways in Economy where you get good service, excellent inflight entertainment, reasonable legroom and if you fly their A380's or A350's the seats are excellent.
Can usually find return tickets for around £400-500 each and still leaves you £1500 to find an excellent hotel for your stay.
The Middle East carriers also fly from many UK airports (London LHR, LGW and STN, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow) and none of this trekking down to London.
If you want a spot of luxury at the airport, you can usually get access to airport lounges for around £25.
Qatar Airways are part of the same OneWorld alliance as British Airways, so can still earn Avoid Points if that's important to you.

One bronze status enables you to select seats a week in advance for all on the booking - in economy at least surprised if different for business class Silver you can select from time of booking

But yes the seat prices are ridiculous nowadays

Yeah didn’t mention the 7 days as by then most of the best seats are gone anyway.

Fly a lot with work luckily we have to go business but not many in the last year so only have bronze with BA. normally not with BA as their business class is poor in comparison. Last trip two stops was £3600 to book seats was nearly £400 extra and last part was free because it was on AA.

Thing that got me was the fact that I could have gone AA end to end except for BA to Heathrow from home and chosen my seats on two of the legs for the less money just slightly tighter transit times. AA has the new planes and better business class and you don’t have to stand over someone just to get out of your seat. Real issue is BA don’t care about customers just the bottom line.
Why why why are BA trying to run their airline like Easyjet and Ryanair?!?

BA business class compared to other airline is outdated and a joke. The customer service and way you are treated is so far below the other airlines its ridicuous.

BA is on a huge downward spiral with its service. In economy, It's mugs who pay £5 for stale food/sandwiches on 1.5 hour flights that encourage them to stop offering free tea/coffee/water (on a £300 flight) The legroom on their new planes are a joke and some seats don't even have a cold air vent.

How is it possible to rate BA and its outdated fleet ahead of Etihad? They are worlds apart.

If you rate BA above Etihad then you have no credibility, sorry.
You can fly with Qatar on selected dates...
BA is living off it's previous reputation and what they don't seem to understand is that many people are realising that.

I plan trips to try to avoid flying BA at all costs but sadly sometimes that can't be avoided. The cabin crew don't seem to enjoy it, the passengers mostly don't and the pilots don't seem very happy either. Having to climb over / be climbed over in Business Class can only be justified if the fare takes account of it - which of course it doesn't with BA. Flew on one of their B787-900's last year which is a lovely aircraft. They've configured the Business cabin 7 abreast in a staggered configuration. That compares to Air France and several other airlines that are 4 abreast! Says it all - plus you don't climb over anyone else other than on BA - or easyjet and Ryanair.

I value the opinions of my friends, relatives and colleagues. I am more than a little bewildered as to why you think the opinion of some random keyboard warrior is likely to be of interest to me
3 months wage. Yes!!
It’s a fact the vast majority of millionaires fly economy so I’ll stick with that.
Great deal and fantastic airline. Flown business many tines across the pond and out to Far East. Always consistently good experience. Looking forward to the new mini suite as colleague experienced last week on an A350.

At least I now know that anything you state is of no credible value.

BA better than Etihad... what a joker.

Perhaps if you had read my explanatory comment two down from the original you would be a little more informed. Competent decision makers tend to look at all available evidence.

One of the sods tried to eat me. Moyenne Number 20 got my finger instead of the piece of apple. I had to wait a very patient minute until he realised the apple was a better bet and let my finger go. T

I have a normal sized tortoise, and when that accidently nips your finger it hurts, I imagine the larger ones would be very painful!

Apparently years ago giant tortoises were eaten, almost a delicacy.
