Just paid £13.95 for my watch battery replacement at Timpsons. That's expensive and feel not really worth it.

May help someone out there to save some money for life time by owning a tool kit.

According Amazon kit is reduced by 70%.

Details below:

Small,convenient,easy to use

you can open your own watch with the watch back opener.

Using the anti-magnetic tweezers, you are now able to change the battery yourselves.

With watchband link pin remover and pin pusher you can change watchbands and make them tighter or looser.

This clearly designed 30-piece watch repair tool set includes basic equipment for the clock or watch repair.

Alltools are placed in a practical nylon bag in order to protect them fromdirt and damage.

The set is also very useful for hobbyists and tinkers.

I have a very similar set (Mine

They are great for saving a few quid, although obviously they do invalidate a warranty on a watch, but if the watch is cheap enough, then these are worthwhile.

I am more than happy to use this to replace a battery in my Lorus watch.
Don't forget to buy some cheap seals for water resistant/water proof watches, easily found on Amazon
I also own a Tag Heuer and prefer this to be handled and properly pressure sealed, and there are some retired watch repairers who will replace and pressure seal top end watches for around £35 on eBay. Just check their reviews first to make sure they are good, but a lot cheaper than the £180 that Tag specialists ask just to open one up before they tell you that the bill will be £300+ as they say it needs new springs/toggles/ratchets/bells and whistles (being flippantly sarcastic here before anyone feels the need to say watches dont have most of those)

I'm sure this is a decent bit of kit, but when you consider you'll probably never use 90% of these bits, why not just get this amazon.co.uk/Gen…kit
I've had one for at least 2 years, still going strong, and taken back off three watches and shortened two stainless steel bracelets. Everything you need and still half of it will never get used.

This is the one I've got. All the same really - why pay more?

Ditto

wort bearing in mind, if the back is push fit and not screw fit, you'll also need a watch press to ensure the back is properly seated. About £10 on eBay I think.

I have one just like it, worked fine, except I needed to do a home alteration (with Dremel) to the back removal tool as it was too small for a man's watch without extending the centre slot a cm or so!
