Hehe, thanks, Ninu. Was only joking (I think), used have something called 'space' in the house before the kids came along. X)

I wonder if I can return my two mirrors tomorrow that I bought on Friday without the code and then rebuy them with bookcases tomorrow and use the code. If so, do I even need to take the mirrors back with me? Last time I did that the next day for some Xbox games to make use of a deal they didn't even ask for the games back, they just processed it all through the tills for me.
And the other question is, how many bookcases do I want? Definitely want at least two anyway.
With both dividing shelves in there, I don't believe so, however the shelves are adjustable so you should be able to use only one dividing shelf instead.
Very ingenious Mister Bond
X)
Try getting the discount back Chris, apparently someone on my other deal (the frame less mirror) had bought 2 several weeks ago and Argos gave him back the difference
Someone on my mirror deal thread said they got the discount refunded, (I think by calling the Argos help line but I can't remember exactly), worth a try nige
You're welcome wendie
I don't see why not, as it says can be used as a display unit in the description. But you'd have to buy your own fixings I would imagine
Contact Argos and see if they can do anything about it. I contacted them after buying a mattress a week before it got reduced in price and they gave me a cheque as a gesture of goodwill to refund the difference. Worth a try IMO.
If they aren't willing to do anything, there is an easy solution (assuming you can collect from store on all items), buy it all again in store, then immediately with your old receipt return it as unwanted, within 30 days so you will be refunded on your original order, new receipt for the same items with the discount applied. No reason it wouldn't work.
However, he still refunded my mirrors and processed the refund at a higher amount so I got the 20% off on the whole order in the end.
Don't use a sledgehammer to put it together with then, or store cement on them.
Seriously I've had Argos flatpack bookcases, wardrobes, TV units, all have lasted three house moves in five years and still going strong. Scuff the corners and edges a bit each house move but that is to be expected.
Well done!! I'm so pleased for you!
Thanks, I only really mentioned it as it appears this item is not generally included in the 20% off offer, however if someone buys just a few of these and tries it successfully they may want to update us.
Your comment will certainly help because most people don't know that Argos will refund you the difference if you've bought something just before a sale or code ... I didnt so thank you for sharing nige
You might be better off at IKEA for a white one, I think they have a sale on at the moment too their Billy bookcase range is very cheap but extremely sturdy... I'm not sure you could paint this one because it's probably laminated. I hope this helps.
