Baby Bookcase - Beech Effect. £7.99 @ Argos
Very good reviews
I'm thinking of getting one to house the vast collection of Lego figures threatening to over take!

This small bookcase gives you convenient storage while taking up little space in your home. Enjoy the stylish beech effect finish and take advantage of a range of uses. Perfect for a child's bedroom, as a display unit or simply as extra storage.

Size H82.5, W65, D16.5cm.
2 adjustable shelves.

Hope this helps someone

You wont get many babies on there, good find op, heat added

What was wrong with putting in the original price of £12.99 - makes the now only read a bit better...

bought 3 of these 2 weeks ago booo heat added

Can couple this with those 'full length' mirrors if you want both, any 4 will be above the £25 to use the code

I wonder if I can return my two mirrors tomorrow that I bought on Friday without the code and then rebuy them with bookcases tomorrow and use the code. If so, do I even need to take the mirrors back with me? Last time I did that the next day for some Xbox games to make use of a deal they didn't even ask for the games back, they just processed it all through the tills for me.

And the other question is, how many bookcases do I want? Definitely want at least two anyway.

Got a few of these, they are cheaply made, but great value for what they are.

Thanks OP, just what I was after.

would this be able to fit A4 lever arch folders and textbooks?

With both dividing shelves in there, I don't believe so, however the shelves are adjustable so you should be able to use only one dividing shelf instead.

Try getting the discount back Chris, apparently someone on my other deal (the frame less mirror) had bought 2 several weeks ago and Argos gave him back the difference

Someone on my mirror deal thread said they got the discount refunded, (I think by calling the Argos help line but I can't remember exactly), worth a try nige

I don't see why not, as it says can be used as a display unit in the description. But you'd have to buy your own fixings I would imagine

Dammit. Just bought £170 worth of furniture last week... That voucher could have been useful.

Contact Argos and see if they can do anything about it. I contacted them after buying a mattress a week before it got reduced in price and they gave me a cheque as a gesture of goodwill to refund the difference. Worth a try IMO.

If they aren't willing to do anything, there is an easy solution (assuming you can collect from store on all items), buy it all again in store, then immediately with your old receipt return it as unwanted, within 30 days so you will be refunded on your original order, new receipt for the same items with the discount applied. No reason it wouldn't work.

I just went into Argos and asked to return two mirrors to then rebuy with these and get the discount. The person at the checkout knew what to do and said they would do it without the mirrors. They processed the new purchase, added the discount code... the code only applied to the mirrors. These bookcases do not fall under the 20% off code on the tills for some reason.

However, he still refunded my mirrors and processed the refund at a higher amount so I got the 20% off on the whole order in the end.

I would never get furniture from Argos again. Lasts about a week.

Don't use a sledgehammer to put it together with then, or store cement on them.

Seriously I've had Argos flatpack bookcases, wardrobes, TV units, all have lasted three house moves in five years and still going strong. Scuff the corners and edges a bit each house move but that is to be expected.

Thanks, I only really mentioned it as it appears this item is not generally included in the 20% off offer, however if someone buys just a few of these and tries it successfully they may want to update us.

Your comment will certainly help because most people don't know that Argos will refund you the difference if you've bought something just before a sale or code ... I didnt so thank you for sharing nige

You might be better off at IKEA for a white one, I think they have a sale on at the moment too their Billy bookcase range is very cheap but extremely sturdy... I'm not sure you could paint this one because it's probably laminated. I hope this helps.
